Course Curriculum Overview

5

For me To join the mbbs is the only dream since childhood. I want to become doctor to serve the nation.the curriculum prepare me to get hold of the practice rather than theory point of view. The course itself is perfect for me,it doesn't need any improvements

Internships Opportunities

5

You should work in government hospitals for 1 year after your completion of your final year exams.it is mandatory to work in government hospital and also they will give stipend monthly for your internship. But it includes heavy work load.

Fees and Financial Aid

I finished my neet UG with 626 marks. Then I applied for counseling via online (5 thousand fees for my category). Then I chose coimbatore medical college among others in government quota with annual fee of 13.5k. You can get govt scholarship for medical students based on your family annual income. You can also apply for 1st graduation scholarship. it has decent infrastructure with government hospital.

Campus Life

5

It includes many events seperately for local festivals and separately for culturals and sports.Book is always available outside the campus and in online.sports are very good in college since it includes all the sports with very friendly environment.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel is run by the hostel council by the final year students so it doesn't have any issues about the meals. registration fee for hostel is around 25k which is very low compared to the private colleges.rooms will have separate ventilation and lights with peace environment.

Admission

I chose the coimbatore medical college over others since it's my childhood dream to join this college.i didn't get rejected from any colleges since I applied only this college. Eligibility to join the medicine is neet UG exam with good rank.

Faculty

4

In my batch there are more girls compared to boys. Most of faculties are same and act without partiality. some may look partiality between boys and girls in clinical side. The number exams increase from 1st to final year.In final year you will get 2 to 3 exams per week.

Night Life

5

Gym is available inside the college separately for boys and girls in separate hostel. Curfew available for girls in girls hostel.boys hostel doesn't include any curfew.there are many hang out places around the college.it is completely safe to roam around for boys but I won't suggest it for girls.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.
