My favourite college my Gurudas college

I love my college it's a mix of good and bad but it holds a particular place in my nostalgia. I have all but unhappy memories with that college. The place has changed a lot since I left but the memories that I have of that place will not ever change for anything.

The course work was first very detailed. It covers almost all the aspects of English literature. We had poetry drama the works of Shakespeare and various other poets especially is Shelly Keats Byron and the works of EM forster and the Anglo Indian writers

Honestly the placements and job opportunities and not present in our college.our college does not provide internship and/or stipend.after semester end we are all given our marksheets and told to go home and come back for the next semester. Even after the last semester there was no effort from the authorities of the college to arrange anything remotely similar to placement fair or anything.

The main event that is celebrated was the student election and the annual fest. In the student election all the ruling parties and the candidates roamed around holding their hands and asking us to give them their votes there was free food in the canteen during election time at the expense of the parties. In the annual fest they were lots of Bengali bands with pretentious songs to which we danced to.

The fee structure is fairly reasonable although someone mind have to pay the union leaders I have to sum of money just to gain access into the college.otherwise the fee payment structure is pretty affordable one would have to deposit fee at the nearby bank.

There is no scholarship for loan facility offered by my college that I know or have availed. The course fees are itself dirt cheap so there is no point taking a loan for them,also the intelligence level of the students were not that far high that they could be offered a scholarship. Overall it's a Win-Win situation for both the college authority and the students.

there are a lot of extra curricular activities lab sports available in our college there is a lab where there are more cobwebs then chemicals.there is a ground beside the library where there are more waste then players. A lot of people could be seen at the canteen which seems to be the most happening place of the college. A lot of time a lot of activities happen some of which are not even mentionable.

All of the alumnis are fairly active on Facebook and that's the end of it. They are not concerned in anything regarding college, it's not that they should. Whatever feel they have settled in our exactly completely 180 degree is opposite to whatever course or syllabus they have opted for in college.show the college has not help them build their career in anyway and they also do not have any kind of significant career also.

I was shortlisted based on my cut off marks.I was on the second list and gradually when someone cancelled on the first list I was selected. After that I submitted all my documents to my professors and that is how I got admission in this college.

The faculty was very good. They taught us nicely and indulged in our nonsense too often. The held regular classes and we had frequent seminars and exhibitions. Hairstyle of teaching and giving notes was also very enticing I fell in love with the literature after I took the classes.
