Infrastructure is not upto the mark. The new advanced academic building is still under construction. Labs are obsolete and new instruments are not installed even they are available at the institution. But one would have great four years of life and would learn a lot

The course curriculum of the imstitute is based on the latest curriculum as provided by A.I.C.T.E. The course deals with the core engineering concepts for the allround development of the student. Lab practicals are also conducted for the technical development of the student. Exam pattern Mid sems 30 marks for 2 hours End sems 50 marks for 3 hours 20 marks for quizzes and home assignments.

Placements are one of the best part of NIT Jamshedpur. Computer Science engineering boasts of more than 95 percent placements. Branches like EEE ECE and Mechanical have placements over 90 percent. Civil engineering has placements around 70 percent.Metallurgy branch has placements around 85 percent.

There are numerous fests and events celebrated in the college. OJASS The annual techno management fest of the Institution. It is the second largest technical fest of East India after IIT kharagpur. CULFEST The annual cultural fest of NIT JAMSHEDPUR URJA the annual sports meet Other events are Technica Congnitio CDS Exhibition Civilisation

Fee structure is as follows Autumn semester : 88000 (Institution fee along with hostel fees included. 62500 is for tuition fees and 15000 for hostel and remaining miscellaneous) 16500 for mess advance Spring semester: same as autumn semester Fee structure is feasible for highet class.

Fee remission is provided by the institution. Students with family annual income less than 1 lakh would receive full remission of tuition fees.Students with annual family income between 1 lakh and 5 lakh will get two third remission of tuition fees.Students can even apply for education loan at the college premises as different banks are available to sanction the loan.

There are numerous extra curricular activities one can particiapte. There are various technical teams such as phoenix daksa revanta rays.,There is a offical quizzing club Quinite and LDS the literary and debating society.There are diferent sorts you can play such as Ccricket Football Hockey Badminton Tennis Volleyball Table Tennis Basket Ball and Atheletics.

Hostels are compulsory at NIT Jamshedpur. Fees of hostel are 15000 which is included in institution fees. The hostels are grand and the infrastructure is very nice. Branded fittings are provided in the hostel. Each boy is provided a single room facility while girls are provided with single rooms 2nd year onwards.

College have a large alumni network. Some famous alumnis are Malli Mastan Babu Current ceo of mastercard current ceo of tata steel and many more. Seniors are very helpful and interactive. Raging is not prevalent in the institution.

One need to qualify Jee main entrance exam with a decent rank. Then one must apply for counseling procedure through Josaa for seat allocation in the institute. After seat allocation one must physically report to the nearest Josaa centre for documents verification. After the counseling is completed one must report to the the institute of the final admission process along with all the documents.

The institution comprises of a large experienced faculty base. The faculty are highly qualified possessing doctrate degree i.e. P.hd. qualification. The faculty is very helpful and interactive. There are also new recruitments of highly knowledgeable professors.
