Insights of DDU

I always had a interest into mechanical engineering and this course and university helped me to have a great hold on the technicals and practical aspects used for real life applications and the areas of improvement in course curriculum is balancing of subjects into each semesters and electives. The difficulty of exam is moderate on average.

Students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester itself and each company possess a different eligibility criteria but on a safe side a person with 7.5+ cgpa and no backlog will make through 99% of companies and companies like reliance, adani , MG motors, DCM Sriram, Suzuki Motors visit the campus for placements and the packages range into 5.5-7.5 lpa. The highest package this year was by Micron Semiconductor that was 13lpa including bonus. Our college promises 100% placements

For the 1st & 2nd year i paid 78500rs per sem For the 3rd year i paid 79500rs And for the last semester i am paying 80000rs Further more you get scholarships if you are the merit rank 1 in the particular semester which will be of 10000rs The above fees that is mentioned is about management quota. The government quota fees is 3500 per semester

There is one annual cultural week every year in February and multiple small scale sports event going on every alternate months there are many clubs including sports club MESA( mechanical engineering students association), Decibel from music, samvaad for poetry etc. According to me the sports and extracurricular are below average. So if any person excels into sports and wants opportunity then pls avoid this college. This is from my personal experience as there is no proper sports exposure and opportunities.

I did apply to charusat svit and LD where i got admission in charusst and svit but I preferred this one as this is much more reputed for academics as compared to other colleges as well as travelling regularly for the college from nearby cities like Vadodara and Ahmedabad is hassle free.

The faculty in the mechanical branch is really good each and every faculty possess a in depth knowledge in their domain and is very helpful in teaching, doubt solving and helping into projects. There are 3 internal exams each of 36 marks every month and one external exam of each subject or either 60 marks or 40 marks depending upon the curriculum.

No proper gym facility in college but multiple gyms near college campus, 2 libraries in the campus, campus closing time Is usually around 7 pm for students and hostel closing times are 10:30pm the locality is safe to roam around night.
