Course Curriculum Overview
AIIMS is an independent body and don't follow NMC guidelines. Exams happen on scheduled time and schedule for next year comes in October - November of previous year. Exams constitues of 50% mcqs and 50% subjective.
Internships Opportunities
No outsider companies or hospitals provide internship. The college itself provide the mandatory 1 year internship with stipend of 30,000. Here, students are provided a great opportunity for research alongwith professors.
Fees and Financial Aid
The overall college fee including tuition fee as well as hostel fee is Rs. 11500 for the whole five and half years. There is examination fee of 500 per subject alongwith 500 for marksheet for 1 year. There is additional fee of 500 per subject if you fail in main exam and if you have to give supplementary exam.
Campus Life
Here, annual fest is named as Pyrexia which happens in September - October month. Stars like sonu nigam, Darshan raval comes in our fest. Our college also has a central library which has a range of medical as well as non medical books.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is not good enough for 1st year students, In 1st year a small room with two beds, one cupboard and 1 table and 1 chairs are provided for 2 students. In 2nd year, room is to be shared by 2 students but conditions get better, they are provided 2 beds with drawer, 2 cupboards, 2 tables and 2 chairs, from 3rd year onwards, single sitter room is provided.
Admission
At my rank, I have mainly two choices, AIIMS Rishikesh and IMS BHU. but I choose AIIMS Rishikesh over IMS BHU as this college is surrounded by mountains and lies besides Maa Ganga. It's exam pattern also constitues 50% MCQ which helps in the preparation of NEET PG or INI-CET.
Faculty
Faculties are very experienced and well educated. They take their classes properly and If sometimes they are unable to take their classes, they send Junior or senior residents to take classes. They are in good touch with students.
Night Life
Our college also comprises of a gym which remains open at 5 to 10 am in morning and 5 to 9 pm in evening. There are no hostel timings for boys but for girls, there is no allowance for outings after 12 am.
