Nearby college and affordable too

One thing I like about NIT Nagaland is the atmosphere here is pretty good and there is no need to worry about any electric problem and one thing I still face problem is mess food and curry. Worst than I had ever seen or had In My life.

Here in NIT Nagaland there are total 6 Branch namely Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, CSE ,and. The exam here in NIT is categorize as Quiz 1&2 which are both for 10 marks each and there will be 50 marks for mid semester which makes up 30% in the total marks and during the end semester there will be a total of 100 marks which makes up 50% in overall marks.when sum up gives 100 marks and the minimum marks to pass in the exam is 40 Marks. which is bit high compared to others engineering institution in other states.

The placement here is pretty good and every month there use to be internship program and so on. As I'm presently 1st year student I don't have much experience on it may be I'll got to know day by day.

In NIT Nagaland there use to be a program like two or thrice in a month and each and every student gets an opportunity to share his thoughts, idea and his experience. When I first come here the first occasion I attended was the fresher's day our seniors arranged very well an it was the best moments I had ever feel till now.

The fees structure is not too expensive not to feasible it's like average. There use to be hostel fees Mess fees light fees and many fees are there. but though one thing i like is there is no need to worry about water and light.

One thing I like about NiT Nagaland is that for ST their tution fees is wave and there are several loan facilities offered by our institution but I don't know much more in details about it because I haven't avail any loan yet.

There are a lot of sports and other extracurricular activities like football, Cricket ,badminton , volleyball, table tennis and many other. We most of the Nagas prefer football in sports than any other and I too us to participate in it but the thing is cooperation is less from the institution side

The hostel are preety good compared to others hostel there is no need to worry about water problem and so electricity. It's like 24/7. In each room there accumulate two students provided with table chair and bed for both the roommate.

Our seniors are very much impressive and helpful. We play sports together and take help and advice from them when we are in need and at the same time the always stretch their hands to help us in any situation

To get in any NIT or IIT the candidate should have passed 10+2 with science background and Physics chemistry and mathematics as the main subject.Candidates have to score at least 75% for general and 65 % for others. So I too gave JEE main exam at Kohima i.e. in Nagaland and I got through the main and then I registered for JOSAA and during the first round seat allocation I got Mechanical at NIT Nagaland but my only desire was civil so I didn't accept it and right after JOSAA there was another seat allocation board known as CSAB to get admission at NIT and other government engineering institution so I applied for it and there was total two round and the seat was limited so again I applied for it and there also I too got Mechanical at NIT Nagaland but that was my final chance to get at NIT so I accept it.

As an NIT the faculty are pretty good and most of the faculty are alumni of IIT and NIT. They have a very good experience in teaching and are very responsive to the students. As NIT Nagaland was established only in the year 2010 the number of faculty is very less an d in some department due to the lack of faculty scholars use to take the classes.
