- As the computer dept operates in day there are less Chaos
- Class size is 40 but divided in groups so everyone can get there time
- Classmates are friendly and helps out a lot just need to maintain the friendship
Dislikes
- Out dept takes classes on annex building which is a small premises
- Labs are also small so everyone can't do there work at the same time
- Limited no. Of hardware are present so everyone can't have there own some have to shared
Course Curriculum Overview
I loved writing codes as I found it was fun to talk to computer and order them.to do stuffs which a human will take time to do... As the new system of the course is here from 2023 it open up alot of opportunities Few skill development course are there but the right way to study is still not available... The right books are still hard to find out etc
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm in shyamaprasad college pursuing BSC computer science (hons) and here 1st sem fees is nearly 9500 and increases every sem ... Basically it's a evening college but the computer dept runs in the day from 11am - 5pm... Other courses takes place in the main building in the evening timing from 4pm onwards.... Student can mostly apply for SVMCM scholarship from the 1st sem only ...
Campus Life
Alot of events, seminar, annual function and occasions are held by the college and everyone can participate in them if they want... In the anex building there are limited number of books available but if the books are not available in the anex building then in the main building there is a big library where you can get any of the books you required from the library... mostly as a computer science is a practical subject classes in the labs are provided labs I have already told in the previous reviews that labs have computers in a less number so not always every student can get a seat over there but in the classroom we have projectors for digital learning like from PPTs and all that stuff
Admission
I applied to many other colleges like vidyasagar college, maharaja manindra college, etc and got selected also but in this college I got selected the first so I applied here then later I found I got selected in other colleges also but then I had no option or time to change the college
Faculty
Most profs are friendly but few are very strict Computer science digital prof tanmay sir as he is very friendly and chill There are no faculty I don't like but as I told there are a few strict profs... So it depends on person to person how they sees them There are total 7-8 exams Idc and other subs are taken in home centre Majoar and minor are taken in other centre Practical are also taken in other centre ...
Night Life
Our college is based in the middle of Kolkata near the hazra more the nearest metro station is Jatin Das Park metro station where after getting out from the gate number 2 the colleges just in front of you.... you can have access to Ravindra sarovar nearly from them you can have access to Kalighat you can I access to Rabindra Sadan when Nandan is there you can have access to maidan then you can go to park St All are in near only as it's the centre of the Kolkata you get a lot of options to visit to cheer up you and have lots of
