Life in AIIMS Rishikesh

The course is well prepared and designed by the CLG. They teach u all the necessary knowledge and skills required for a mbbs graduate. One major improvement could have been on the timings- it is 9 to 5, it could have been 9-2, it is very hectic to stay till 5

The fees for this course is 20000 Rs for 5 and a half years. The clg fees is 11000 and exam fees is 9000. Hostel is included in this, so u dont have to pay extra for this. The only thing u need to pay extra is for the mess facilities. The fees is same for all the categories. There are no management seats, seats are alloted only through neet counseling.

An annual fest pyrexia is conducted over here. Famous singers and artists join this over the 5 days and it is a great experience tbh. Students from all over the India join this. Library is actually very good, u can get any book u want to study. There are dedicated teams for each sport. There are various clubs like dance club, singing, yoga etc.

I wanted to go to aiims bhopal, i have filled that as my first choice but i couldn't get as I was from UR. It was close to my home and it was in a better and proper city Bhopal. I just missed by a slight margin. Then I filled this CLG and got it. U have to qualify neet and get atleast 700 rank if u are from UR. The admission process is very smooth.

The faculty members are quite good to be honest. They are very approachable and they clear your doubts as well. The exams are conducted prof wise here. There are 4 profs and in each prof there are 4 major exams. It is quite easy to pass the exams, 50% is the required marks.

The hostel timings for girls is till 12 midnight, while for boys there is no such restriction, u can hangout any time u want, but tbh night life isnt as great it should be, there is nothing to roam around, everything gets closed early by 10-11. As I said earlier from a city point of view, Rishikesh is not that well developed.
