College Review

My college is great for the purpose of studying. My college is strict in every field. Their is a strict policy for allocation of marks. You have to maintain attendance in the lectures if you want to get good marks. But one negative remark is that for getting placements you have to do everything. College doesn't provide any support generally.

Course curriculum of every branch is good but not great. Course curriculum is designed well but doesn't include all the topics in that chapter which are required for other exams. Exam are held in every semester. Their are 2 semesters every year. Basically, in four years of engineering you have to give exam for 8 semesters. Also you have to give 2 midsem exams in every semester.

Placements in my college are also good but limited to some branches. Generally you get Placement in Tech. Company. Most of the companies are tech based generally. Science and Electrical branches have 100% placement but other branches like Mechanical and Civil have not that great placements. Also, College provides internships to those students who have topped the examinations. But i haven't got any internship from college.

Events are held in our college every year. "Shristi" is the tech fair of our college held every year which depicts the technological advancements. Sports events are also held across the year. Also, Workshops are held from time to time to ensure that students get the knowledge of different different areas. Cultural events are also held in our college like dancing, singing and mimicry, etc.

Fee structure in my college in my college is expensive as compared to other colleges in our city. But, being the top private college of our city, it is feasible. Generally, for 4 years of engineering you have to pay around 4 lakh rupees (Rs. 400000) which includes the bus fee as well.

My College doesn't provide any scholarship for any student. But you can get scholarship based on your caste category and the family income from the government. Government provides various scholarship facilities. I get a scholarship of Rs. 28000 every year from government of Madhya Pradesh.

Extracurricular activities in my college includes various events, workshops and quizes. Labs are great and are equipped with every machine you read in book. But the machines are somewhat old. Some machines are new and some are old. Their is a sports group in my college which holds ports activities all around the year. Also intercollege sports activities are also played in which players from different colleges participate.

Alumni network of college is strong. But interaction of alumni with the present studying students doesn't occur. Senior students are also helpful and they guide you through every process. If you have good contacts with seniors then you can succeed. Seniors are very helpful, they give information on every topic you want.

I have given IIT-JEE exam. Based on the cummulative sum of IIT-JEE marks and 12th marks, admission list is prepared. My IIT-JEE score was 85 and 12th percentage were 78. According to that, i have chosen mechanical engineering branch. Then, i have gone to college to confirm my admission and submitted requited documents. Lastly, i got the admission.

Faculties in my college are great. They are generally from NIT's and other good colleges. They convey information to students very efficiently. But some faculties are not good. Teaching method of every teacher is very different but above all, all faculties are good.
