Course Curriculum Overview
Institute has semester system. Normally it used to be of 4 months. There used to be both mandatory and optional subjects. Students have option to choose from optional subjects. Normally for exams there used to be 2 quizzes , 1 mid semester exam and 1 final exam.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities are as much as one needs. It takes place in 2 phases.1st phase starts from first week of Dec to 3rd week of Dec and 2nd phases starts from 3rd week of January.yeah College does offer the internship. Most of the students get internship and Job from Institute itself.
College Events
The Biggest Tech festival called SHASHTRA is celebrated annually. Colleges across all over india participate in this event. The 2nd biggest event called SAARANG is also celebrated annually. Many companies participate in the event to sponser them
Fee Structure And Facilities
Its very feasible according to facilities, infrastructure, faculty. Its different for SC/ST category students also so that they also can afford the fees. Hostel fees is also comparatively low. All facilities are free except swimming pool.
Fees and Financial Aid
Students get scholarship for higher studies as institute has tie-up with most of the foreign reputated universities. Institute has its own SBI Branch for easy process of Loan facility. Apart from SBI, Canara bank also has its branch inside institute.
Campus Life
One of the finest place for every extracurricular activity and sports. Institute has its own cricket ground, tennis court, volleyball court, fitness club, football ground. Even hostels also have their own grounds. labs are fully equipped and well maintained.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are fully infrastructured. Solar panels are there for hot water. Hostels have their own football ground, badminton court and volleyball court, music room, and tv room. CCTV cameras are installed at spot points.
Alumni/Alumna
Yeah IIT MADRAS has the biggest alumni network. Alumnis are connected through every social media and its own alumni platform called IITMAA. Seniors are eager to help at every stage. Alumnis meet college students every year. They contribute to institute and advise them for their bright future.
Admission
I got admission through entrance exam called IIT-JEE. That time there used to be only single exam but used to be of 2 papers. After clearing the entrance exam there used to be counseling process for which you needed to attend your nearest Zonal IIT.
Faculty
One of the best faculty one can have. All faculties were garduates of reputated foreign universities. INSTITUTE has its own video lectures channel called NPTEL which is one of the world's largest e-learning site.
