The curriculum is designed in such a way that students get in depth knowledge and have real time applications. Based on our interest in a subject we can decide our future studies like for reaserch. Also we have opportunity to write book chapters and improve our writing skills. Present abstract and get published in research jounals under the guidance of faculty. But there should be more improvement in teaching methods . And one more things which influenced me is the industrial visits which the clg provides for real time learning.

Placements start from 5 or 6 semester in 3rd year. Companies like Wipro , Genpact, Reddy labs , accenture, Pharmalabs and many more visit for biotechnology department. And for other departments like IT and CSE companies like Microsoft, JP Morgan also visit. Average package for our department is 4 lakhs per annum and highest was 10 lakhs per annum. Most of the students choose MS or Mtech after graduation. Very few students opt to work in industries.

Tution fee for Btech / BE is Rs 1,45,000 per year. Along with this miscellaneous fee of Rs 5000 is to be paid at the time of admission compulsory. If you have reservation and belong to SC / ST full fee reimbursement is there and for BC caste Rs 30,000 per year fee reimbursement. For scholarship epass application is important and income certificate with less than Rs2,00,000 per annum ( SC , ST ). And through management quota to get seat Rs 20,00,000 apart from regular tution fee. There is no separate lab fee and all it is all included under tution fee.

Shruti ( cultural)and Sudhee ( technical )are two events conducted every year in the month of February for 5 days. We also have library were you can access any time during college hours and in the evening till 6:30pm. You can take the books for rent and return on time. Also we have basketball, football, cricket, volleyball ground. Regularly different competitions are held . There is also a event called Aura. Also different technical clubs by all the departments and also sports club, music , dance , social cultural clubs were you can engage and interact with new people.

I basically applied through EAMCET counselling and I got this seat for BTech in Biotechnology through convener quota in 2nd round of counselling. My rank was 4062 and the cutoff was 8000 for this course through counselling. In the 1st round of counselling I got alloted for Bpham course in Pulla Reddy Institute of Pharmacy but since my interest was in biotechnology were I can get a chance to explore bothe research and technology I choose this.

The ratio of faculty to student is 1 : 10. Faculty are highly educated and experienced in their respective subjects. They are friendly to approach and clear doubts. They are always there to teach you and share more knowledge. They even guide you in terms of higher studies. We have regular sem end exams and for every sem we have 2 class tests. It you regularly attend the classes and refer whatever the ppts shared by faculty you can clear the exams. They are moderately tough.

We are not supposed to stay in the college campus. Generally college timings are from 9:00 am to 4:00pm. College gates are open till 6:30pm . But we can hangout to near by places like there is a lake called Gandipet cheruvu near by. Also Golconda fort , ocean park etc . Moreover cafeteria near by.
