Course Curriculum Overview
Honestly speaking some teachers makes you understand the thingly in a proper way with real world applications but some are just coming and giving lectures in a boring way just reading and all. I think the teachers should come with some preparation before coming to class.
Placement Experience
So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.
Fees and Financial Aid
1.Basically there is 3 type of Fee structure a.SSC b.Regular c.TFW Normal SSC(87k per yr), SSC(TFW)(approx. 42k per yr), Regular(approx. 42k per yr), TFW(approx. 31k per yr) 3.Hostel fees are different (range of 35k to 40k per yr)accordingly to the hostels you are alloted with.
Campus Life
There are 2 festivels in a academic year one is ILLUMINA (sports) and other is VASSAUNT(tech and cultural).These are happening in betweeb Feb or March.In VASSAUNT students are preparing for dancin ,singing and some partiicipating in robotics and some other tech competitions.
Hostel Facilities
So mostly rooms consists of 3 Tables from 4 students and 2fans. Meals are good but little more hyegenic should be maintained.Basically there is 4 times NonVeg in a week. You will get to know the registration process during admission itself .It is very smooth in process. There are some rented PG outside colldege like in Kirba Chowk and in Burla.
Admission
Basically I have applied for CET,Bhubaneswar for CSE and NIT rourkela for core branches but unfortunately I didn't made that because of my JEE mains rank.So with my JEE Mains rank i got selected into VSSUT,Burla which is a good college though. It is the first engineering colledge of Odisha and it has goog placement records also.Basically for CSE and IT if you secured like 90K in Jee mains then you are eligible for the course but you can get into this colledge by OJEE also for Lateral Entry Admission.
Faculty
See majority of faculties are very helpful are they are approachable also.They supports you in your bad situation and some are vey strict about their own rules so, it willl be good to not to depend much on faculties here. When comes to exam there will be 2 exam in a single semester MidSem and EndSem .MidSem is of 30 marks and EndSem is of 50. Most teachers are linient in grading and some are very strict.So for exam you should better prepare the topics taught in the class notes properly.
Night Life
So colledge timing are mostly from 9am to 1pm and then lunch from 1pm to 3pm then again colledge from 3pm to 5pm but there are some free in between these timing periods.There are some cafeterias where you can hang out. But fro 1st years hostel will be closed after 6 pm.
