Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum at SVNIT is designed as per new education policy . The course is application based and is relevant to industrial requirement. The semester is four months long which gives enough time to prepare for exams also difficulty level is normal not much tough
Internships Opportunities
Third year students are eligible for internship opportunities but not much students are provided with this you have try hard by yourself as well. There are various technical clubs where you can works on different projects to improve CV
Placement Experience
Students of 3 year are eligible for internship opportunities and at the end of third year students can sit for placements. College has highest placement of 54 LPA and lowest is 3 LPA. For mechanical department it is 19LPA and 5LPA respectively with average of 9.3 LPA. Top companies like Mercedes Benz, John Deere , Bajaj , LNT , Suzuki,etc comes for placements
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for doing BTECH in any branch is 70000 per semester and there are two semesters per year in which hostel is not included. There is no fees for SC and ST students. Also if the family income of student is less than 1 lac no fees is required to pay . If income is less than 5 lac 2/3rd remission is provided
Campus Life
Our main culturalal event is sparsh which is very good it is 2 -3 day event . SVNIT also conducts technical event MINDBEND which is Gujarat biggest tech fest. Infrastructure od college is descent. There is tennis, badminton, basketball court . It also has gym facilities. table tennis and cricket equipments are also there
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are occupied with two table, two chairs ,one fan, two cupboards. 2 inmates per room. Single room is provided for only final year students for now. Mess facilities can be improved. PG is not nearby but BRTS service is there so not a big problem
Admission
To get admission is SVNIT you need to clear the cutoff of JEE Mains along with the college cutoff. The college is situated in the area of vesu which is the prime location of surat. Location of the college gives it an advantage over other college in Gujarat. After qualifying JEE Mains you have to apply for jossa counselling where you fill your college preferences as well as to choose the branch .
Faculty
Faculty is well qualified with good teaching skills across all branches. Two main exams are conducted mid semester and end semester which is 30 and 100 marks each. Also assignment are provided which are 25 marks . 5 and sometimes 6 subject each semester including one core elective after 3 semester
Night Life
Gym is opened 6 days a week. It has one canteen which is opened from 8 -9 am till 9 pm . Night canteen is also provided 10 30 pm to 3 pm. Hostel in time is 10 30 pm. It has Lakeview garden as a hangout spot
