Pros and cons of BVM college

The course curriculum if well focused on industry level knowledge. This curriculum is very good and prepares us for real world applications. The area of improvement are , first the faculty members are not much interested in teaching and still there are some topics in course that needs to be modified according to trending industry placements. Two midsem exams are taken in first 2.5 month of the start of semester and end sem exam at the end of semester and level is almost moderate

I am studying in first semester, so I am not eligible for internship but as per the seniors the roles given to interns in companies are pretty good and are often responsible roles which help the interns to learn from internship

Students become eligible for placements from 5 semester. Some of companies which visited BVM for placements are voltas , tcs , tatva soft ,motadata. average package offered is 6lpa . Highest placement oncampus is around 10lpa . Almost around 80-85 percentage of student who opt are placed. My plans after degree is higher studies mtech

Yearly fees for BVM IT branch is 1,43,000 with 73000 per semester. Tution fees is 71500 per semester and 150 is charged as gtu enrollment fees and 1050 is charged as exam fees per semester. Development fees and lab fees are included in all these . For students taking admission in management quota fees is same . There are various scholarships available like mysy , BVM scholarship etc .

Annual fest is know as udaan . It happens during April - june and technical fest is know as genesis which is held around October - nov . There numerous book and journals available in the library. The facilities and technological provisions within the classroom is pretty fair . There are many sports and extracurricular activities in BVM such as football, cricket , chess etc . There are various clubs and chapters in BVM like gdsc , ml club , IEEE etc

In Am naik hostel there are three types of rooms , common bathroom , attached bathroom and ac rooms . In common bathroom rooms , each room have 3 student , with 3 tables ,3 cupboards , 3 study lamp , 3 bed , 2 fans and 3 big room lights . The meal quality is good . It is affordable and registration is done through office in this hostel

I had applied to colleges like vgec , ld , charusat , scet , c.k pithawala . I got confirmation from charusat, scet , and c.k pithawala but the placement of these colleges are not much good and in case of charusat the college is located in village area . I got rejection from vgec , ld as my rank was low to get admission in this college You can get admission in BVM by giving gujcet entrance exam , or by JEE mains and management quota. Most preferred exam is gujcet entrance exam . The avg cutoff for BVM - IT branch for general category is nearly 1500- 3000. My overall admission experience was good

There are around 80 students in class and for 1st sem there are 5 subjects each subject has its individual faculty . Faculty to student relationship is good . they are good in motivating the faculties i liked are sherin mam for programming and aakar sir for maths . As they are good in teaching . Faculties i did not like are dharmesh sir for IT workshop and himani mam for Basic electrical engineering because they do not know how to teach and not interested in teaching as well. Each sem there are 2 mid sem and 1 end sem . Majority of the students pass the exam . The curriculum of this course in relevant to industry placements.

The gym , cafeteria, library and public area within the colleges closed at 6:00 pm and it starts at 10:30 in the morning. Timings of campus is 10.30AM to 6:00PM The gates of hostels closes at 9.30pm There are no hangout places inside the college except cafeteria. The locality is very safe and good to roam at night
