College fees are very high because of AUTONOMOUS COLLEGE. Expect thing this college is a preferred by all because of it's facilities and learning process. It's a top rated college in West Bengal. Many awards are gone to this College from Government.
Course Curriculum Overview
B.Sc (3 year degree course) and M.sc (2 year degree course) are going on.I always prefer this college for this type of degree course.The college teachers are very helpful and also give appropriate marks in exam. All the degrees are going on by semester system in this College.
Placement Experience
Here job opportunity is missing because it's a very good college of learning and getting degree.Here placement cell is not so good. But it's a very good college because many students from here get chance in IIT,NIT,C.U.,BHU,JNU,TIFR like institute for higher studies. I have also got in C.U for M.sc.
College Events
College Foundation Day, Saraswati Pujo, Holi, Annual Function, Farewell ceremony, College Freshers Welcoming, Induction meeting etc. In all the event professors and students both are very willing and co-operative.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees are very expensive. College admission fee is very high. Even exam fees are expensive. For poor students it's difficult to carry forward study for the expensive fees. You will have to submit fees for all the semester in the college cash counter by cash.
Fees and Financial Aid
Government Scholarship is available here. Poor students are also helped from college funds. Physically Challenged students are also helped from college funds and from teachers. I have also got SVMCM Scholarship from Government.
Campus Life
Labs are very good and good tools , machine, chemical, sample etc. are also available here.Here also have a play ground for every day practice. Good sports opportunity is available here.From here many students have got state level prizes in sports.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumini network is also good. Senior students are also helpful and polite in behaviour. They have always helped new coming students. They make a event for Freshers every year. And senior students are also respected.
Admission
I have applied for Physics Honours for B.Sc degree course after H.S is over. I have filled up a online form for my admission. This form was available in the college official website. After submission of my form, I have waited some days for realising the merit list. This merit list was prepared by the basis of H.S total marks obtained and obtained marks in subject. After realising the merit list counciling was done and I was selected.
Faculty
Very good faculty is available for all the subjects. Teachers are very helpful and polite. They are very disciplined and students are also disciplined here. Very good learning process is available here.
