UBKV is a famous agricultural university of West Bengal as well as India. It is already very much developed,but more developments are required for better result. It should be more developed for Msc,Phd & research purposes.

The course curriculum is comprised of 4 years,with total 8 semesters. In each semester the number of courses varies. In case of exam structure,in each term you will have to appear for two exams,one midterm & one end term exam for each courses.

The placement & job opportunities are pretty good at UBKV. In every year lots of students get remarkable ranks on JRF,SRF & various other entrance exams from agriculture and horticulture. Besides that from technology faculty,a huge number of students crack GATE & another entrance exams. Students from UBKV are getting admission in various prestigious institutions like IARI,NDRI,JNU,BHU,TNAU,PAU &IITs. Besides that,verious companies come here for placement & interview.

UBKV is full of life.Every year various events are celebrated here. 1.NABODAY-It is the freshers welcome ceremony.It is the day for newly admitted students at UBKV. It is full of fun & enjoyment. 2.Annual Picnic-A day for which all UBKVians wait for the whole year.It is a day to chill on the lap of hills,rivers & in the forest with your best friends. 3.Social- 3 days with non-stop enjoyment,the annual fest of UBKV. The enjoyment can't be defined in words. Nonstop dance,music,dj,song, cultural events,drama,mime,quiz, debate, extempore, marathon and lots more. 4.Mealbandhan- A day of bonding with delicious foods, enjoyment & much more. 5.Smritipote- Farewell ceremony. 6.Prechristmas Ceremony 7.Saraswati Puja-The grand puja festival of UBKV. 8.Ganesh Puja. 9.Viswakarma Puja. 10.Raksha Bandhan.

Fee structure is feasible at UBKV. You have to give about Rs. 16000 /- at the time of admission,in UG.Then you have to give Rs 4900 /- as semester fee before each semester. Although the fee is variable in every year.

There are various types of scholarships available at UBKV. The students from other states get special scholarships from ICAR, in B.SC,M.SC & P.hd. Besides that,there are University scholarships. Loan facility is not available,but every year, about 15 poor or economically challenged students get special scholarships on semester & admission fees.

Extracurricular activities are also very good at UBKV,but these should be more developed. Various types of indoor and outdoor games are played here & various tournaments also occur. Students from UBKV take part in all India Agri-sports & Agri-unifest every year. The laboratory facility is very good here, though some development are still required in some departments.But rest is very good.

Yes I have opted for hostel. The hostel fee is very less. The hostel infrastructure is very good. There are about 6 hostels throughout the UBKV main campus. The hostels are very well maintained neat and clean.

Seniors are very helpful.They always try to help the juniors. Although there is no alumni association in UBKV,but it will be available to us very soon. Seniors also help to build physical and mental strength as possible.

I got admitted at UBKV through ICAR AIEEA UG exam.Besides that one can get admitted by the total score of Physics, Chemistry & Biology of the board exam at 10+2 level.The whole admission process is conducted online.

In UBKV, there are three faculties-Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Horticulture & Faculty of Technology. Faculty of Agriculture, Horticulture & Technology is compromised of 10,5 & 5 departments respectively.
