Course Curriculum Overview

4

ECE Curriculum is very relevant to the industry standards. the dept is well equipped with latest technology, labs and all the tools required for practicals. One area where the dept could improve is the way they teach programming languages, i believe programming should be taught with the help of a live compiler. 3rd semester exams are quite tough since this semester is a transition semester. the schedule is quite hectic and time consuming.

Internships Opportunities

4

Dell: 35,000, Akamai: 35,0000 Schneider Electric visited, BOSCH Visited There are 4-5 startups functioning from the campus, the students get access to grab internship opportunities at those startups as well. I Interned at one of them in my second year of study. I made 4 projects till now. All the projects were a part of my curriculum

Placement Experience

4

Students are allowed to sit for placements from the end of their sixth semesters about 150 companies have visited an more than 500 offers have been made. highest package: VISA 42 LPA, Role: SWE About 80-85% of students from ECE/AIML/CSE/ISE get placements I have a job offer already, I'm looking at MS options now

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly Fees Paid: Over the course of four years, the total fees I paid amounted to INR 2,27,000 per year, resulting in a cumulative fee of INR 9,08,000 for the complete course, excluding hostel fees. Breakdown of Fees (Yearly): Tuition Fee: INR 2,00,000 Development Feee: INR 27,000 Other Fee: (Not specified in the breakup but included in the total amount) Category and Fee Details: I belong to the general category. CET quota: INR 80,000 per year SC/ST Quota: INR 24,000 Per Year GoI Quota: INr 40,000 per year Management quota: The fees for management quota students are significantly higher than other categories I did not receive any scholarships during the course. However, the college provides scholarhips for students whose family income is below INR 6,00,000 annually. These scholarships aim to assist students based on financial need and merit, fostering inclusivity and accessibility in education.

Campus Life

4

Cultural fest: UTSAV, TEch Fest: PhaseSHift, Hostel Fest: Farouche 20,000 books available in library, with lakhs of e-books classrooms equipped with smart projectors Sports Stadium with badminton, basketball courts, football and cricker ground (same) rotoract club is quite active

Hostel Facilities

4

4th years get allocated to MH (Main Hostel) having all single occupancy rooms Meals are nice, we get the menu changed every month. Hostels are affordable with mess fees of INR 70,000-75,000 and Hostel fees of around 80,000 per year. All the hostels are around the campus, while some being inside the campus

Admission

I applied to MSRT, RVCE and BMSCE. I was getting MSRIT as well. But i chose ece, after consulting some of my seniors in BMS. I got a rejection from RVCE ECE, possibly because the cutoff went too up. You can get into BMS through CET, ComedK, or Management.

Faculty

4

faculty to student ratio is around 1:25. The faculty is friendly and approachble in all aspects, be it academics or extra-curricullar activities. Some of the faculties I really liked in the ECE Dept are Dr. K N Rajanikanth, Dr. Suma MN, Dr. HN Suma. There is one SEE conducted at the end of each semester, prior to which three internals are conducted (best 2 scores are conducted), followed by projects and quizzes for each subject. Most of the students clear the exams. The course curriculum is quite relevant with the industry requirements.

Night Life

4

Gyms are there, The college has around 7 cafeterias on campus serving hot and fresh food. Hostel curfew timings are 9:30 PM for both boys and girls Famous hangout spots inside hostel: Vidyarthi Khana, Coffee Kootira Outside Hostel: Corner House, MK Dosa Point, Apna Dhaba, Teaday
