- Crowd makes a college and our college crowd is phenomenal.
- Given the placement scenario we are at the best space currently as we have nearly all students placed in 2024.
- Location of a college matters as otherwise commuting becomes difficult and is an issue but not with OSIT as bus stand is right outside the college and also we get autos at will near our college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our course is integral and a part of turnaround as Data science is usually mixed with AI but with core CSE not many colleges have been able to do so but our college has. Also I don't think anything is left to cover in our college as we have almost every facet of DS and CSE covered in our syllabus.
Placement Experience
Many IT companies and that companies that are into data harvesting are major components of the companies that hires or rather recruit students from here while they are in the penultimate semester. Highest placement from our college were of 32 lakhs and average is around 8-9 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is one factor which I looked as the main concern as value for money is what I was looking for and OIST is that for me. Including everything the yearly fees is 63500 and is has been stagnant for a while now.
Campus Life
Techno Fizz and likewise events like Manthan and all makes departmental annual fest of the college. Every department has their dates reserved from the beginning so as to ensure that no clashes happens. It's unfortunate that there's just one auditorium otherwise multiple events could have been halted at the same time.
Admission
Rejection no as I did gave AIEEE and OIST accepted the score. State entrance for engineering exams score is also accepted and also many other entrance such as JEE Mains and all are accepted. A 60% or more in PCM is mandatory to be eligible and rest all on the entrance score as that is how admission are given in OIST.
Faculty
Faculties here are a best proposition as they believe in giving all that they have. No stone will ever be left unturned and especially Maya Khandelwal our faculty who is a new recruit but has suddenly brought a new energy. Her classes are interesting and she duly believes in listening to our problems.
Night Life
Various lakes, museums and Haar meaning flee market are surrounded by the college. I love street food and therefore many street vendors close to the college start lining up outside the college from noon.
