My college experience

The curriculum was very good but there was no time for preparation during mid-tests. As soon as syllabus completes , the next day mid-test was conducted.Sometimes if there is no time for course completion , they said to complete the course by ourselves. Not all faculties are like this ,only a very few were like this.As I heard only talented and merit students were given admission in this college , so I applied for this college.

Many internships opportunities were provided by our college , but I didn't get selected for any internship. I had a very bad experience when talking about internships. When coming to projects , I have done a major project in my final semester of fourth year of Btech. My project was about DNA on deep learning.

From final year i.e from seventh semester of BTech course , we are fully eligible for campuis placements. Some companies started their recruitment from sixth semester. Approximately 50-70 companies visited our campus and almost more than 50% students got placed in-campus. But I didn't get placed in on-campus placements . I have got placed in off-campus placements.

The tuition fee of the first year for the candidates who studied in the schools of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh states is Rs.37,000/- (It includes Rs.1000/- examination fees). In addition to this , every student has to pay a registration fee of Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates) and a refundable caution deposit Rs.2000/- (by all) and medical insurance of Rs.700/- approximately for first two years (by all),that is a total of Rs.3,700/- (Rs.3,200/- in case of SC/ST candidates) at the time of admission. Students who are eligible for fee-reimbursement as per the guidelines issued by the respective State Goverments may apply. The scholarship eligible students except from Telangana State need to pay the tuition fee and it will be refunded by RGUKT as and when the scholarship is sanctioned from the respective states. The tuition fees for the students from other states and children of Indians working in Gulf Countries is Rs.1,37,000/- per annum and the tuition fees for International / other NRI students is Rs.3,01,000/- per annum which includes tuition , examination , hostel , mess fees etc. In addition to this , every student has to pay a registration fee of Rs.3,700/-.

In the first year ,first semester of BTech ,freshers party were organised by second year students to welcome first year students.Farewell party was organised at the end of the academic year i.e. in the month of April , final year students were given farewell by third year students. Many books were available in our college library , mainly competitive exams books. NSS club, Eco-club , Ayush club,etc clubs were run by students groups.

I had applied for a diploma polytechnic college after my 10th class. I got admission into it and went to college for a week . After that I have got a mail that I have shortlisted for documents verification from RGUKT Basar. As I had heard that this college is 6-year integrated college ,soon I had written an application to cancel my admission at polytechnic college.

The faculties are very friendly and always ready to explain our doubts. It was same from PUC to final year of B.Tech. Mostly faculties are Phd qualified and very well expert in their subjects.Every year consists of two semesters.So that PUC has 4 semesters and Btech has 8 semesters. Each semester has 3 Mid-tests and a final semester exam including lab internals and externals.Each mid-test was of 15 marks and best two mid-tests marks was considered for final results.Each semester was of 60 marks and 10 were given for assignments works.Paper was not so tough.Many students were able to clear the semesters.

I had many amazing night hangouts in our college. We are not allowed to go out of college as our college, mess, and hostel are situated in a four-wall fencing walls.Outside of college ,there is only a famous river Godavari and Goddess Sarawati temple.We had very sophisticated gym in our campus. A 24/7 library was available to students.
