Inside the Campus Walls: My College Experience

So as I have told earlier the curriculum is pretty old but it's getting integrated with new technology stuff like machine learning and artificial intelligence so it kinda pretty relevant.So the specialization part kinda influenced me to getting into this course.So the skills which are taught in college curriculum will get you that industry ready but if you wants to get higher opportunities you will have to work on your self rather depending on college to get you a job.So teaching standard are very great with hands on experience also the relaxation time between examination are very good so the student don't feel exhausted or overwhelmed by giving exams as I told you earlier only two exam are held in each semester and total 6 semester are there.

So basically placement drives are done by college but ifI say the truth the placement are mainly focused on Civil and Mechanical branch student but it does not mean that CSE student don't get placed it is that you should have to get skills required in the mean time to get a job from college and most of the people choose to go for higher studies like doing B.tech.So there is also very less competition for placement...so placement are done in mainly last year of this course and then students can Sit for the placements..So highest package will be around 6-7 Lpa and avg will be around 3 LPA. So around 5-10 percent student amoung all the students get placed from the college and as I told you earlier most of them pursue higher studies.So my plan is that I will gonna sit in the placement drive if I got minimum 5 LPA offer then I will do a online B.tech and pursue my career in that field.

So yearly fees is around 50000, here you have to give 1st years fees as you enroll in the program and after that it follows to second and third year.So I am doing diploma in Computer Science Engineering with Cloud and IT as specialization.and the fees is same also there are scholarship opportunities such as Samsung C and T examination conducted for Civil and Mechanical students but from this year they have allowed CSE students to take the exam and give the interview the amount of scholership is around 30-50 percent of total fees during the course and I guess the fees structure is same for all only there is some ease for admission in other categories like SC/ST.

So right now my overall experience is very pleasant and there is a main annual fest which is done every year which is called UNIFEST and other technical fest such as techno fest is organised in the University also Hackathon are also conducted in the University to embrace the coding skills of students there is a main library only dedicated to Diploma students there they can find all the books and material required for them to study there course.So not only labs but classes have Air conditioning also have best seating facility with dedicated projecter for each classroom over all the classroom are there having best eminites possible.. talking about extracurricular activities there are events held in our department..such as cultural Events in which students can take part in for example poetry,debate,Skits etc. And as I mentioned before there are numerous number of clubs run by students of Galgotias which you can join and enhance your skills to next level or you can learn new skills by exploring yourself and there is a student portal named iCloud which can be accessed by students threw there id and password there they can track all there academic as well as Time table exam schedule Results ext.

So basically I did reserch about other colleges but because of my travel convince and also the fees affordability makes a great point to select this college over other colleges and So I haven't applied any other college except this because I got the letter of acceptance 3 weeks after I applied for the program and also the selection criteria is very low so getting selected in this course is pretty easy you only need 40 percent in your 10th bords to get admission in the first year of this program and sam you should have in class 12th to get admission directly in 2nd year of this program So basically If you have done your 10th and 12th it will be very easy to get into this University.

So talking about the faculty so it's great i guess currently the faculty have been changed in cone year of span since I have joined this college and new faculty is not only young but they think about the actual skill a student need to succeed in his/her carrier, and talking about my relationship with faculty members are kind of like friends they listen to your need and if you want extra time for any assignment of project to submit they help you in that that So If I name the faculty the faculty are Ruchi Arora mam she is not only Personal Devlopment profesor but also she will treat as your own child and will listen to all your problems is it related to academic or something in your person life she is a very good mentor in my opinion So I don't think there is any faculty i Dislike because everyone is putting that hardwork and dedication for us to succeed in life So there are mainly two exams which helds in one semester which are MTE( mid term examination) and ETE( End term examination) the overall difficulty is like if you have attended all the lectures and done all the assignments it is pretty easy for you to score over 8 CGPA so it kinda depends on you how you have studied for the exam but exam are really very easy again the course curriculum is kinda old but it's getting integrated with new things like specialization.

So talking about hostel facility so you could get a hostel room inside the campus but allotment of hostel rooms are done before the actual admission process so you should have to grab the opportunity as fast as possible..also there is a gym in the hostel also the classes are run in Galgotias college campus so the hostel is integrated to both University as well as for the college.So there is no as such in or out timming it totally depends on the realtion of your with the guards and warden..only you have to fill a slip when you go out for longer duration so around the campus there are plenty of canteens and hangout spots which you can explore through out your college life there is canteen in our building which is one of the most famous hangout spots for us where we could meet and just chill also the locality and environment is very safe for both girls and for boys you can roam around in the night pretty easily.
