Remarks
Unwanted and Unnecessary interference of College Management in Government Funds is considered as one of the negative marks of our college. The utilization of PTA fund is not in an effective manner. Unnecessary Political Activities is another problem. Hon. High court of Kerala already banned political activities inside the college. But it can't be controlled deeply.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course in SN college (under graduate course) is scheduled as 3 year degree. Each year has two semester and the the pubic main University exam is conducted at the end of each semester. Ie, total 2×3= 6 semester.
Placement Experience
At the end of every academic year placement agencies will approach our college and recruit efficient students. About 5 students, in the last academic year, were selected by a popular finance company operating in Kerala.
College Events
The events celebrated in our college was College day, Annual day, Sports day; College Union day etc. And also University Grand Finale programmes were also conducted once in every five years. Our college contribute a Good number of Participants in every programmes.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of our college is about rs.6000/- per semester for non science batches and rs.8000/- for science batches. An additional fee as Lumpsum is charged from Management seat holding students.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are a good number of scholarships was offered by our college and university. The major among them is 1. Central sector merit scholarship 2. State merit scholarship 3. Proff. Mundasseri scholarship 4. Scholarship for Disabilities 5. Scholarship for Minorities 6. Scholarship for majority (General category) etc.
Campus Life
Like every other Departments, Our college has physical education department also. It offers a good opportunity for Sport contestants. They are Sports like, Cricket, Football, Tennis, Badminton, Golf Etc.
Alumni/Alumna
Our college has a good office for Alumni Federation. There are helpful for every phase of study, anti Ragging cell etc. Our college offer best and pride alumni networks because the major people in Kerala like O.N.V. Kurup, Mukesh (actor and MLA, Kollam) etc was the product of our college.
Admission
I got 96.6% mark in my Plus Two. I have applied through Kerala University Admission portal and chose my first preference as SN College, Kollam. I got Admission for Bcom there in the First allotment itself (merit list). Then took my admission there.
Faculty
Our Commerce Department has highly qualified faculties who always focus on their students to develop their skill and knowledge. The Head of the Department of our college is always vigilant in utilizing their lecture staffs in an effective manner towards the success of every student.
