Life at FoTE MSU

so, i was having keen interest in electronics and electrical engineering from the beginning when i was in 6th standard. and my cousin brother was also in the same college and in same branch.so i selected electrical engineering as my dream career. the college should go more paper less, they are still living in 90's. still forcing students to make and write laboratory mannuals and journals, which are nothing but scrap at the end anyways. and we also have to make these mannuals and journals, because we don't have any other option. the frequency and timing of the examinations are good enough, no complaints about that. we are having enough time for preparations and all that.

so, the students are eligible for placements from the end of 5th semester itself, but generally, many students apply for it in 7th semester. highest package in msu techo is 23 LPA, and the average package is 5.8 LPA.

okay, so in the first year, my total fees were 9,480 rupees, including tution fees, which is 1500 rupees, and from the second year onwards, my fees are 10940 rupees, the reason of increased fees is because, in first year, there are no internal examintions, but from second year onwards, there are internal examinations. Some of the fees are mentioned below: 1)Tution Fees: 1500 rupees 2)Faculty Development and Maintanance: 1090 Rupees 3)Library resources: 200 rupees 4)internal assessment: 100 rupees 5)facilities and service charges: 2180 rupees 6)admission fees: 500 rupees 7)examination fees: 2040 rupees 8)university development and maintanance: 1430 rupees some are still remaining, but these are the main fees, that our college takes, and i mention this once again, that this 10,940 rupees are for whole 1 year, which includes 2 semesters. and yes, if someone gets advantage of tution fees wavier scheme, then their tution fees of 1,500 rupees are waved. the fee structure is same for all branches of Bachelors in engineering in Faculty of Technology and engineering MSU Vadodara, but the fees for Part time Degree is around 20,000 rupees for one year.

okay, so the campus life..... we mainly have 3 events at techo, Footprints, Paramarsh and Prerna. during these events, we live the real life, the events, the concerts, that is the real college life. we have almost 10-12 clubs, including chess club, finances club, coding club (code-vimarsh), robotics and ev club etc. there are tonns of books and journals in our college, there are almost 2,00,000 books in our faculty itself, and the main library is Smt H.M Library, which holds more than 10,00,000 books.

okay, so i live in vadodara. vadodara is my home town. so ofcourse, msu was my first preference. but i was also going for LD College of engineering, but then i thought about hostells and PGs, so i finalised my choice for pursuing engineering in msu vadodara. i didn't actually got rejections from other colleges, because i didn't applied for any ????.

okay, so faculties to student ratio is very less. but the present faculties are so good, they helps students a lot. but some faculties and some HODs are not that good enough, they need to work on practical knowledge more the whole faculty should go more 'paper-less'. there are mainly 4 exams in one year. two of the internal exams, and two end sem exams.for each of the semesters.

there is gym in our universitie's pavillion, the sports are good out there. i don't stay at hostel, but my friend provided me the information, that hostel timing for boys hostel is till 12:00 in night, and for girls hostel, it is 8:00 PM in evening. the college timings are from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM. in the technology and engineering faculty itself. the college and hostel is surrounded by many food counters and restaurants and food courts, and the food is also good enough. according to my friends, mess food is 4 out of 10.
