Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is not completely industrial ready and not completely outdated but it definitely needs some major changes and the unnecessary parts must be removed from the curriculum. The curriculum prepare is for real world applications but not completely and it is not enough we need changes in the curriculum. The curriculum must be focusing on making students job ready and must have its impact even after engineering in students Life.
Internships Opportunities
In NIET students get 10000 rs per month as stipend under internship but a minimum of 80% attendance is mandatory for it. Deloitte, Capgemini, wipro , infosys etc prove internship here but majority of students gran internship on their own.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Various companies visited the campus including HCL ,TCS , Amazon, microsoft, Deloitte etc. the highest package was 51 LPA (off campus)the average for CSE is around 6LPA and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. In NIET CSE around 70% students are placed in reality but in there website the record might be higher. After degree I am planning for placements
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid 178000 rs as fees of first year . That's the tution fees of the college. No registration fees , admission fees , development fees , lab fees , and any other compulsory charges. You just have to do one time payment of 178000 rs in the first year and 150000 rs for the second third and fourth or final year no other additional charges are there. There is admission fees for management students which is of 23850 rs and no admission fees for students which have taken admission through uptu counselling. All the batchmates have same amount of fees no matter what category they are from but depending upon your category you may get scholarship. Up scholarship is of 60000-70000 rs also there is chatrya kalyan nidhi for the students who loose their parents during studies and don't have money to pay the fees .
Campus Life
Not much happen here instead of classes and study. Fest don't happen here often and only 2-3 fest happens in a year . Some fest that happen are JAGMAG and Sangrachan , these are the main fest of NIET. Sanskriti is the annual fest and there is not much information about tech fest but it also happen here. There are not many books available in library aside academics books . No special facilities are available in classroom there are just normal classrooms just like other colleges but they have smart board which they use instead of black board. No sport and extra curricular activities are promoted here they are just focused on academics . There are number of clubs and anyone could join them they are really good and impact students Life in a good way.
Admission
I didn't applied to any other college I give my jee mains exams and then I participated in uptu counselling and according to my choice filling and rank I got allotment letter in NIET. there are 2ways to get admission in NIET first is through counselling and second one is Direct admission
Faculty
The faculty to students ratio is 20:1 niet has 331 permanent faculty and about 10 to 12 temporary faculties working currently in 2024. The faculties are very friendly and easy to approach the faculties here are great and teach really well. I liked the COI professor the most her name is mrs shubhangi and she teaches really well and maintain the classroom decorum, she knows her job really well and make the classroom very engaging I think she is the best faculty here. There isn't any faculty that I don't like , The cons here is that there are lot of exam which left very little time for extra curricular activities. There are 3 sessional exams and class test happens once every 2week and at end there are end semester exams which is very hectic and students didn't get much time for themselves
Night Life
No gym , cafeteria is present in the campus as the campus is too small in size. Boys must be inside the hostel after 9PM and girls must be inside the hostel after 7PM at max no entry is allowed after that. There are not much hangout places inside the campus but there are a ton of them outside the campus mainly jagat farm market. It is safe to roam around night but while being careful
