Likes
- College is really nice and well built for a government college . Hostel though requires improvement interms of infrastructure and facilities. Other than that no issues so far .
- Social interactions are really good but that depends from one person to the other .the faculty teaching method is really good . Well experienced teachers and good mentoring .
- Curriculum is really tough and requires a lot of hardworking to pull through it.
Dislikes
- If you don’t know how to speak their native language then you are not even considered . You have to been an extrovert to mingle with people .
- Mess food is average and it doesn’t change and all and if changes are made it just goes below the belt.
- Hostel water tastes soo bad and many doors in hostel have lock problems so anyone can just come to your room .
Course Curriculum Overview
Rigorous training. Daily work is given to the students so that they don't lose the touch of the subject . I flow of patients are really high in this hospital so that means more knowledge and room for learning .
Fees and Financial Aid
As of now my college fees is 70,000 yearly which is nearly 3,50,000 for the entire course . No scholarship programmes . College fees seem to remain the same with no additional increase in fees . Mess fees - around 41,600 yearly Hostel fees - 35,000 yearly NRI fees is 1cr for 5.5 years course . Payment all at once . SC/ST quota - 40,000 for 4 years . Basically almost free of cost .
Campus Life
Our college conducts almost 3-4 events every year on a large scale . Some events like adwaita that includes other colleges go on for about a month . The other events and goes on for a few days . Range of books in library is outstanding . All international author books are available which are very costly to buy . Facilities in library are really good allowing a seating capacity of 200 stunners at once
Admission
The colleges I applied to was not for mbbs . It was engineering . Long story to this but cut to current scenario . The colleges I applied to were all the NIT's and got selected for all . The reason I chose to do mbbs was because I wanted to do something for the public to satisfy myself for all the wrong doings I have done in my life
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:9 approximately . The faculty to student relationship is very good and that depends on one faculty to another . Some are really good and some are really strict . Facilities that I don't like is the AC is classroom is not in working conditions
Night Life
There are a lot of night life clubs and cafes to visit after an exhausting day of class . Everyone anticipates when the class will get over to go out with friends and explore Pondicherry . I think the only think that is keeping us alive is the places to visit in Pondicherry . Even though the place is not soo big it becomes fun when your friends are around with you .
