Unveiling the deep experience at RTU, Kota's Campus Life and Academic Excellence

I love technical things a lot that's why I chose this course. This course is designed to provide a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge, practical skills and industry relevance. The course enables us to have an in-depth analysis of theoretical and practical aspects which is applied in real life. A lot of innovation and self-equipped skills would be essential in the duration of this course. From my point of view, the frequency and timing of exams is quite appropriate. Almost after two months from the starting of the semester there is first mid-term, and after almost one and a half month there is second mid-term, and after one month of second mid term, there is practical examinations. And after almost 2 weeks, the end term is being held.

Our college provides us internship in Thermal Power Plant, Kota where they visited us the plant, told us about machines and their working. Process of the whole mechanism was described and we did a little work also. They also gave us some safety instructions. We also made a ppt on what we learned from this training. There is also in-house cum industrial training organized by Ultratech Cement Ltd. In this, we have done activities including site visits, industrial visits, live demo sessions and expert lectures.

After sixth semester students become eligible for campus placements. Some of the visited companies include TCS, LG, Wipro, Amazon, Bosch, Infosys, ICICI Bank. In 2023, RTU made 228 placement offers to its students. The highest package offered was 44 lpa by Amazon and average package was 4 to 5 lpa. Almost 80 to 90% students get placements. I will give the GATE exam next year and then I want to do MTech with an IIT.

In my first year, I paid Rs 49025 as my first semester fees and Rs 38525 as second semester fees. It concludes a total of Rs 87550 as my first year fees in Electronics & Communication Engineering branch. There was also a college development fee of Rs 3000 in my first year. Currently I'm in 3rd semester and this semester fee was Rs 41525 in which 33500 was tuition fees, 5025 as college development fee and 3000 as NBA Accrediation fee. There was no other fee. There is a scholarship named Pragati Scholarship Scheme in which you have to give an exam and based on your performance you can avail the benefits of the scholarship.

My experience with the campus life has been quite good until now. Our college conducts a fest named Thar which was held in March 2024 and it's a technical fest. There are a wide range of books and journals are available at the library. Same types of books are also available so that students can access them easily. Many Benches and tables are broken in the classrooms. Some fans also don't work. Many sports are being played here including cricket, football, table tennis, badminton, volleyball. Dance club, music club, poetry club, picasso club are being run by students in the college and everyone enjoy being a part of these clubs.

In first year, we have been alotted a three-seated room in which each one of us had our separate wardrobe and a bed. At each side there is a led light provided and for each one of us there is a fan. The quality of meal is normal, neither bad nor much good. Menu is quite good but if you don't like anything, you can report to mess committee and if majority agrees, the menu can be changed. We just have to fill a form online for the hostel allotment with our details and some documents also. Anyone can afford it easily because per year hostel fees is 8260 rupees.

I got VIT,Vellor before this college but that was too costly and very far from Rajasthan that's why my parents didn't allow it. Then I filled up the form of REAP Counselling and I got Admission in Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. I filled up the admission form online with some formality of mine and some documents were also required.

The faculty to student relationship is good, you can go into their office or call them if they're not in the office. I liked many faculties including Dr. Dhirendra Mathur, Priyanka mam, Priti mam, Ms. Monika Agarwal, Dr. Vivek Pandey, Mr. Dharamraj Meena and many more. I appreciate them very much because alongside good at teaching, they're also good at behavior and always keep their focus on students that how they're doing. They always tries their best so everyone can get succeed. I don't like some faculties including Dr. Seema Meena, Dr. Sunil Jain because Seema mam don't come to class most of the time and Sunil sir don't tell us how to perform the experiment in the lab and if we ask any question they grt angry. There are 2 mid terms and 1 end term exam being held. Also there is 1 internal and 1 external pratical examination. There are every types of questions including easy, moderate and very difficult. Theory and numerical question both are given. Almost 10 to 15% students are the ones who fail to clear the exams. The course enables us to have in-depth analysis of theoretical and practical aspects which is applied in real life.

My favorite hangout spot is cafteria where me my friends talk and enjoy our delicious meal. On the weekends we dance and sing at the night, eat wafers and drink colddrinks. After a day full of classes, we usually go to cafeteria to grab something to eat or we go to our hostel to rest for sometime. And after almost 2 hours of rest, I exercise for half an hour then I go to take a walk in the campus with my friends. The library closes at 4:00 pm with college. Gym and cafeteria closes at 8:00 pm. After 10:00 pm you cannot enter campus. The best hangout places inside the university includes the park in front of CSE department, Aghora garden, cafeteria, canteens, and view point of Chambal river. Outside of the university you can consider giong to Seven Wonder's Park, City park, City mall, etc. It not might be safe to roam around at night because it's a forest area around the college and wild animals like bear, panther, snakes, pythons have also been seen.
