- The university is known as for its modern infrastructure including well equipped labs,libraries and hostels which i liked the most.
- There is cultural diversity as students come from various countries and states by which we get to know about there culture also.
- There are lots of extra circular activities happens in college on daily basis in which we can easily participate.
Dislikes
- Sometimes there is too much of heavy workload on students.
- Campus is too much big so the agriculture students have to walk alot around 4-5km
- Cost of living is also expensive in campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
The BCA curriculum effectively merges theoretical knowledge with practical skills making it high relevant for today's technology sector. I have chosen this program becoming i want to explore more in the programming field specially c++ and web development. Areas of improvement could be the timetable like we have 20-25 classes weekly but time is 9am to 5pm everyday, there are lots of breaks in between them which is not practical for dayscholars. In terms or examination we have moderate gaps in between them so we have sufficient time for self study.
Placement Experience
Placements are quite good like average package starts from 4-5LPA which is good starting as a BCA student. Students become eligible after 5th semester for placements. There are many companies that visits like wipro, tisco and many more. Highest package is 25LPA in BCA till now. My plans is to get a job by placements offered by college.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly i have to pay 1lakh for fees including scholarship of 38% otherwise fees is around 160000 yearly +8000 for examination fees. There is no fee compensation on caste basis. There is an entry level exam which is known as LPU NEST,if you perform good in it then you can achieve maximum scholarship about 35-40%. Batchmates pay fees according to the LPU nest exam results and its not mandatory to give the LPUNEST if you want scholarship then you can give.
Campus Life
Overall experience is not that much bad like i am living far from home so it is difficult at starting to adjust in a new environment as i dont know anyone here at that time. Now i am enjoying everything here like i am used to this environment and i am facing no difficulties to live here. Our library is heaven. Our library has six floors and there are thousands of books available there. Sports and extracurricular activities held like every weekly.
Admission
I have chosen this college for the placement purpose and its new teaching methods only. I have done alot of research for this college and found positive reviews for me to join. I have not applied to other colleges as i have got selective here in the first chance. Admission process is very simple you can easily take admission by online method on their website. And entrance exam is basically for scholarships its not mandatory to give if you want scholarship then you can give.
Faculty
It also depends on faculty to faculty like how they behave and how they teach According to my experience i have got mainly all the good faculties which are way too much supportive in studying and experimenting. Ms.Seema mam is very good at DSA programming and clears doubts in very easy methods. Exams- Mid term and end term exams are there in midterm mainly there are mcq questions with .25 negative marking. Exams are moderate not too much hard and not too easy either.
Night Life
Night life is best according to me. As i live outside the campus so there are no restrictions of college as there are many restrictions on hostelrs to take exit from college. Outside the campus we have everything we need like gym, cafe,cinema halls etc. Famous spots outcampus is phagwara and model town in jalandhar
