For admission in ITTK(IIT KANPUR), i cracked IIT JEE Entrance exam with rank of 203. Also you have to cracked both pre or mains. But remember marks of pre is not consider for evaluation of final score. Your score is decided on the basis of performance of mains.

Well, were talking about the top engineering institute in India. Undoubtedly, the reputation of the college is primarily because of its excellent teaching staff. One of the mandatory rules at IITK is that all the professors should be atleast a Ph.D qualified. Most of them have got their degrees from great and high ranking universities in the USA. Apart from their crazy degrees, theyve Enough industrial experience and teaching experience at many other institutions.

Being the best engineering institute in India, the college is quite well known for its internships. Big MNCs recruit students in the third year for a summer internship of 2-3 months. Almost all these internships are paid, the stipend being around 25,000 to 30,000 per month.

Roughly, there are about 250-300 odd companies that visit the Kanpur campus of Indian Institute of Technology. Huge! To name a few, Reliance, Siemens, Goldman Sachs, Mckinsey, Facebook, InfoX, Google are the standard recruiters during the placement season. Like any other engineering college, there is no mass recruitment, hence students are paid a whopping salary roughly around 8-10 lakhs per annum. Oh, forgot to mention, 100% placements.

There is nothing like a regular event because that will make that event quite monotonous. But time to time there are events like Group dance, Duo dance, Dhwani (music competition), debating , Indoor and outdoor games, etc. In which students participate in large numbers. Its like a refreshment after such long period of studies. IITK is quite famous for the numerous festivals that are conducted round the year. There are various hostel events and games that are played on regular basis. Apart from the zillion national level competitions, there are two main festivals conducted round the year.'Anataragini', the cultural festival, is held in the month of October while 'Techkriti', annual festival, takes place in early February.

Total fees including hostel is about Rs 57800 per semester for general/obc category and 12800 for st/sc. And remember this fees also include caution money which is refundable. So you have to submit caution koney about 1000 which will be refund after passout from the college.Also you have to pay mess fees which is about 12000 per semester.

IITK offer scholarships for poor students whoose father income is not 1 lac per year, also for reseeved categories student , and for distinction holder means whoose percentage is above 80 in semester. Also there is a BANK in campus which privide education loan very easily.

IIT Kanpur offers a vibrant campus life. It is a safe and secure campus. Students will find the beautiful and peaceful campus a great place to live. When they wish to do something there are a lot of choices available to them. Students can pursue the passions they bring to the campus. Or they can take up new ones. There are many recreational facilities, hobby clubs, sports facilities and cultural societies on campus. In the chosen activity, whether a student is a beginner or is at an advanced level the student will have company and will enjoy the bonding and camaraderie. IITK offers a wide range of sports and recreational facilities. The friendly but keen competition in the various sports prepares the students to face the challenges they encounter in the future.

We cant expect how much they support us after passout. They treat us like younger brother whether in college they treat like as a junior not totally but in some.
