Remarks

Overall, in low fee, this college was a good option. To reap complete benefit of this college, one needs to be self-motivated and self-driven. The city is a happening city and the cost of living was very low.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

Course curriculum is old. It has not been updated recently. Two sessional exams per subject used to take place in every semester, duration of which used to be 1 hour. Semester ended with a term exam which used to be of 3 hours.

Placement Experience

1

Placement opportunities are limited. Only handful companies visit the campus. College does not provides any internship opportunity. Overall, most students get job through off-campus placements or through connections.

College Events

1.5

There was one cultural fest that used to take place annually (Kalpvaig). Annual sports also used to take place annually. Other events were random. New clubs were formed only recently like literary club. Extra-curricular activities in college is almost zero. Very less scope of personality grooming.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. In 2016, the fee was 69K annually. Professional degree in this fee is rarely available anywhere. The city (Rae Bareli) is inexpensive. There was no system of fine or over-charging for attendance or anything else as seen in private colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship by the Central govt. for higher education was available to all the students whose parents had income less than 2LPA. Loan facility was also available for students who were willing for the same.

Campus Life

1

Not good. Extra-curricular activities were very limited. There were only 1 or 2 clubs. The college was centred around study. Labs were not good. They were average. Students used to skip labs as it was mostly about preparing experiment files. There was a football, basketball and volleyball ground.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel fee was 35K annually then. Rooms were 3-seater. There was a court for basketball and volleyball. Chilled purified water was available. Speed of net was not good. Food was okay. The hostel used to close at 7 pm.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very weak. Seniors were cooperative. But since there is limited interaction between seniors and juniors, there was lack of cohesion between them. Also, seniors themselves struggled to get a job and hence there is overall lack of guidance. College is also new (estb. 2004).

Admission

Admission to this college was through open competition examination called as UP-SEEE (Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Entrance Examination). After qualifying the UP-SEEE, one has to lock up college choices in counselling and as per the rank secured, the college is alloted to the candidate.

Faculty

1

Average. Most teachers are either local or from nearby area. Quality of teaching is just limited to passing the end term examinations. Teachers do not have command over practical aspects of the subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
