Overview of CTAE

I would rate my course curriculum 7 out of 10 because they can serve better curriculum by adding recent technical aspects like data mining, cloud computing, mobile applications. The curriculum includes industrial summer training and projects which help students in real world applications and technologies. They can improvise in the course curriculum by adding topics on recent featuring technologies like cloud, data mining and many more. The exams are conducted frequently the timing of exams is different for midterms, practicals and theory exams. The midterm is of duration of one hour, practical exam and theory exam duration is of three hours

Placements of this college are good and has an average package of 4.5 lakh. Most of the students gets a on campus placement and almost 60-70% of students get placed from every batch. After 6th semester onwards students become eligible to apply for on campus placements in college. The main companies which offer placements are AppPerfect, Secure Meter, Vedanta, Wonder Cements, Advaiya, In time tac. The highest package is offered by AppPerfect which offers around 6 lakh to students, and average package offered by companies is 4.5 lakh. In Secure Meter 13 students are placed this year. In AppPerfect 6 students are placed this year.

The fee structure is as follows: there are 2 type of seats SFS(Self Funded Seat) and GAS(Government Aided Seat). For freshers the fee to be deposited at the time of admission(admission fee and semester fee) is 46000 including tuition fee, caution fee, registration fee, admission fee The fee is same for all categories for SFS. The scholarship is provided as government and private scholarships. The government scholarship is provided as per NSS(National Scholarship Scheme) for eligible students and private scholarships as the criteria prescribed by them.

Campus life in this college is quite good they conduct ver less fests. There are two types of fests college fest and university fest. The last college fest was held in April 2023 which included many activities like cultural activities, coding contest, E-sports, technical activities snd extra curricular activities. The classes are quite good in ambience with decent furniture and projector and smart board The sports activities are held regularly every year including cricket, basketball, table tennis, bedminton etc.

Yes I have opted for college hostel from the first year itself. College hostels are quite good and affordable. But the hostels require renovation and college is lacking in this field. Hostels are provided with every essentials such as electricity, water, WiFi, RO water, Bed, study table, chair and almirahs. Also each hostel have a ground to play outdoor sports and ample parking space. Each hostel also have a decent functioning mess which provide quality food to the students, there are three meals included in mess which are breakfast, lunch and dinner. Mess area is clean and hygienic. Everyday cleaning of Hostel and mess is done by cleaning Staff. A student can apply for hostel by filling hostel admission form which is available in chief warden office. Also hostel and mess fees are quite affordable. If a student has opted for hostel then he will not seek to look a rented room or PG because hostel is well equipped with every kind of facility.

I chose this college because it is one of the most top ranked government college in Rajasthan. This college is ranked after MNIT Jaipur and IIT Jodhpur. I applied for all the government colleges in Rajasthan through REAP from which I chose CTAE as top priority because of it's infrastructure and ranking. And also CTAE is located in Udaipur which adds on a plus point, as Udaipur is one of the most beautiful cities of India which has a great scenic beauty and culture. Udaipur is also known as city of lakes. To get admission into CTAE the student has to apply through REAP which accepts JEE mains score and 12th percentage. To get into Computer Science branch the student has to atleast score 90 percentile in JEE.

The student to faculty ratio is very high in this college. And the overall behaviour of all this faculty is good, they are well educated. Faculties are very kind and friendly with all the students, they do provide help to students in every aspect possible. Students can approach faculties anytime they want either by message or call. Also there are what's app groups created by which students can approach faculties. I specially like pallavi joshi ma'am. She is very kind and helpful in nature and her teaching method is very cool and nice. And I dislike Saifali Ma'am, I don't like her teaching method it seems to me that she has less knowledge. There are three exams conducted every semester mid-term exams of 20 marks each, practical exam of 30 marks each and theory exams if 50 marks each for subjects including practical and the without practical subjects of 80 marks each. There are subjects which arr only practical of 80 marks. The difficulty of exams to me is from easy to moderate.

A gymnasium facility is also available in college where students can perform exercises and workout. The gym operates early in the morning and in evening. Library is also operated during college office hours. Hostel for first year students closes at 7 pm and no student is allowed out on holidays for starting 6 months. For second to final year students hostel closes at 10 pm daily. There many hangout places in college like University sports board where students together play games, canteen, Constitutional Park etc. Students are advised not to roam late at night in the campus due to panther prone area.
