- High student intake spoils the college crowd .
- Too many students , due to which hostellers have to attend classes in the evening (4:10-9:30).
- Mess food in hostels is not up to the mark.
Course Curriculum Overview
Artificial intelligence is in boom , and many good job opportunities will be openend because of it is the reason i choose this branch . Exams can have a better timetable during the semester and not happen randomly in between . Preperation holidays should be given.
Internships Opportunities
Well, chitkara i sone of those in universities which has all the facilities for your service and obviousely if you talk about placements, then chitkara holds a very strong foundation of providing placements and internships to students from different departments. Yes you would get paid internship offers , these would be like a part of your programme so that you can brush your skills and proceed further in your future .
Placement Experience
From 8th semester students become eligible for campus placement . Heighest package was 1.1 crpa from amazon in 2023. Average packages are of 8 lpa. Due to high college population their are a few students left unplaced .
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees is 3 lakhs , i.e. , 1.5 lakhs per semester for computer science and engineering . No scholarship is provided by the university . I dont have many friends of other categories so i have no knowledge about their fees .
Campus Life
Great campus life, clean infrastructure and environment indulges the students in extracurricular activities to improve themselves and those around them . Best fests and events . Good library with plenty study material . Clean and spaceous classrooms . Many sports facilities available . Students enjoy their campus life.
Hostel Facilities
4 seater attached washroom with a cooler , costs 1.4 lakh per year . 4 wardrobes , 4 study tables . Mess meal is not up to the point , some of the days its not even eatable , then you have to spend some money to eat at the foodcourt (square1).
Admission
I choose this college because of known alumuni from this college which are well off right now , and have given me a good review regarding this college . Eligibility criteria is 75% in 12th and student should have given JEE mains (rank dose not matter).
Faculty
Good student-faculty ratio , enough so that a student is under faculty care . Very approachable faculties. Very irregular exam pattern , some exams are early , some are late , there are no mst's , but there are exams that keep on taking place in between the semester . The exams for CSE are CBT (computer based test) , taken in labs , or on your own laptop in the classroom . Difficulty level of some exams is very low whereas for othere it is quiet high , rest depends upon your preperation.
Night Life
Clean gym , but a lot of rush , all the time . Late night the university shines , best for evening walks after classes with your friends . Basketball court would be my favourite hangout spot . Hostel cerfew timings are 12:00 am .
