Remarks
As SRM provides a large infrastructure and other facilities it is best suited for students who want to learn and explore new things and need a good place and infrastructure. A student should not expect more from faculties.
Course Curriculum Overview
SRM is based on flexible credit based curriculum, where we can select our courses and faculties. There in total three internal examinations and a university examination, in which a student has to score a minimum of 50% marks to pass.
Placement Experience
The placement of the core branches like CSE, ECE, Mech and IT are good as 90% of the students are placed with the average package of 3.5 lacs per annum while the other branches face difficulty in getting placed. College doesn't provide internship what they will force to do an internship. They do provide a letter of recommendation.
College Events
There are two major fest celebrated in our college one is known as AARUSH which is a techno management fest one of largest techno management fest in South India, on the other is known as MILAN which is a cultural fest where celebrities across India come and perform in the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is little bit expensive, the normal fees is 2.5 lacs per annum for merit students while it is 3.5 lakh per annum for other most of students. For other branches other than CS, IT Mech and ECE the fee is uniform of 2.5 lacs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college offer scholarship to students who have scored less than 1000 rank in SRMJEE and to those students for score a good GPA while their academic studies in College. Recently about council has announced free admission to 300 students.
Campus Life
The college infrastructure is good and well developed it provides a large network of labs and a huge library. The labs are well equipped with modern facilities and systems. The college has large sports ground and hosts many events to encourage sports.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has a dedicated team of Alumni, named as the Directorate Of Alumni Affairs which help students to connect with the seniors and college alumni. They constantly organise meets and workshop where students can interact with seniors
Admission
I Got admitted in SRM through an entrance exam conducted by SRM SRMJEE where i scored about 23000 AIR, and then the College called me for an counselling round where I got my branch. They give branch according to the rank scored in SRMJEE
Faculty
Most of the faculties are South Indian and have a sound knowledge in their respective field, but one should not expect everything from them student have to learn most of the things by them self. Some faculties might help you but most of them do not.
