Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose the Bachelor of Commerce, because of the offerings regarding the job sector of this course, especially commerce background is demanding in India and we have a lot of shortcomings in the job market.

Internships Opportunities

5

I did my internship in Apollo Tyres Ltd. after my 4th semester got over and I got offered 8000/month for the internship they provided. I did a project regarding the impact of branding over consumer purchase behavior, it pinpointed the influence of brands on consumers and expectations of a good brand in the consumer point of view

Placement Experience

5

From the 5th and 6th semesters, the students become eligible for campus placements because the first 4 semesters includes essentials of commerce, I went to an MNC, Accenture but unfortunately I didn't get any offers My plans after this course is to learn more about the business environment start up a business.

Fees and Financial Aid

This was one of the Best universities that I've went to.VIT is approved by University Grands Commission and accredited with A++ grade by the NAAC. The yearwise fee was quite affordable and less for the quality of education that I've got from this university, with good faculty and big campus, the main auditorium, anna auditorium can hold all the students in the campus and can host college events and About classrooms, with high infrastructure facilities and hi technology adaptation. When I joined here, the admission fee went about Rs. 8000 with caution deposit of Rs. 2000 which is refundable afterwards. Library membership costs about Rs. 1000 which is compulsory there and it's quite useful for those who are interested in extra information regarding the syllabus. I had a total fee deduction of Rs 15000 comparing to my batchmates there, I came here with a caste reservation, Almost the same fee's incase of other caste reservations. My friend got a scholarship named Smt. Rajeswari Viswanathan Memorial Scholarship which is eligible for some of the eligible candidates, and there's a lot of scholarship allowances in VIT, vellore.

Campus Life

5

Going to VIT Vellore was one of the best decisions of my life. You will meet people from all across the country. Interaction with a diverse group of people will benefit you immensely and help in your personality development. Infrastructure is top notch, professors are highly qualified, labs and workshops have all the necessary equipments. They have a lot of chapters and clubs, you will definitely find something to get involved into. Academic curriculum is really excellent.

Admission

I applied to other colleges including central universites, I didn't get an admission from there, applied to Mahatma Gandhi University and got the offer letter, my choices were VIT and MGU, so I chose VIT over MGU because of the quality of education and placements that were offering to its students

Faculty

5

VIT is a very good college for those who want to enjoy their college life to the fullest. You'll get a great bunch of people from different cultures to hang around with. There are a lot of faculties and each class room is provided with faculty advisor and they are approchable. They are available for every problems that you face in the period of time. Especially, Miss Sunita, she was my favourite faculty. She was very approachable and friendly with the student's Exams were quite difficult and students don't fail often because we get a good mentorship from our teachers

Interview Experience

5

There were no exams or group discussions for the addmissions, admission is totally based on the merit. Anyone can apply if they have a total of 70% in their 10+2 on the accounting subject. I submitted my admission online and I got called back soon after

Night Life

5

VIT is a very strict, and not for those who enjoy freedom and have imagined a restriction-free college life. You must report in to the hostel before 9pm and very strict regarding the campus rules and regulations

Other Applied Colleges

IIT Delhi - Indian Institute of Technology [IITD] | Other

It didn't provided me with the course that I'm interested for

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect will be accounting that made me choose this couse. The curriculum made me to prepare for future accounting field works and knowledge around the field. The improvements that I suggest may is to add more relevent real life job experience in subject books itself. As per me who is one of a topper student in my college, The difficulty is moderate to me and timing of exams are more enough to fill all the questions.

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.
