- The university was founded by Rn tagore and became an university of national importance. The campus is huge and open . Lot of greenaries with good ground facilities.
- The fees is very low and quality of education is very high.
- Transportation facility in campus is easily available. There are plenty of hostels too.
Dislikes
- The university used to be in top 10 ten years ago but, now it's not in the lists of 100
- No placement or internships. No modern labs are there
- The university authority didn't respond as per student wish.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculties are good and highly qualified from various universities of our nation and from other countries too. The medium of study is English. But, the curriculum didn't prepared that much to compete with real world applications. Lot of improvement is needed in the field of labs facilities and wifi facilities etc . Exam timing isn't also good . In one year there are generally three semesters or some only 2 ..
Fees and Financial Aid
For unreserved candidates the admission fees was like 6500 rs and in next two years you have to pay 2100 in each year. For reseved candidates it was 4500-5000 admission fees and in next two years you have to pay around 1200 rs each year. The university used to pay a 5000 rs annually if you are within top three rank holder.
Campus Life
There are a lot of annual and technical festivals held in our university like in summer,poila boisakh in winter, there are Nandan Mela and pous Mela etc. and in spring there are many types of festivals and in the monsoon there are barsa Mangal and many other festival usually held in our university. The collection of book in library is very good and we have a very good accessibility in our library we have the facility to read they are for light 12 hours in a day etc in technology aspect we have to improve in many things in our campus the sports and extra curricular activities offered on our campus is not that good but it was above average yes there are many clubs group sector there Nss and NCC and many other clubs and groups. And they have a huge impact on the life of a student in the campus for mini aspects and many things
Admission
I applied in many colleges and universities in WB and in other states . It includes bhu , ju, msu etc. But I couldn't make it to the mentioned colleges. Also this collages are very far from home that's why I chose this university. The admission process in my university is through cuet for ug course and entrance exam arranged by the university for pg and other courses. If you want to persue any degree in the college you have to get at least 60% marks in your to a boats and for Pg you have to get at least 40% marks in your graduation for the admission. My overall admission experience was not that good it was very average. And the cutoff for this university generally moderate not so high or not so low.
Faculty
The faculty student ratio is good. The ratio is 20:1 and the relation between faculty and students is also well . The science departments faculty is very good along with geo and eco because their results and outcomes is very good. History and aihc&a dept. Faculties is not so good because they are very strict and they give very less marks to students. For graduation there are three years according to CBCS and six semesters. Only 5-10 % student failed to pass the exam
Night Life
There is no nightlife in our campus but our campus as a gym cafeteria's library and public area etc and its mainly closes around 8 to 9:00 p.m. the hostel is also closes around like 10 p.m. as I say that before that our campus is huge and their are lots of greenaries iaround us and their is many places where we can visit .
