Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is currently updated. It's still somewhat conventional, but it is being updated slowly with time. It has all the major subjects required. Exam happens twice in a year - mid sem and end sem. Mid sem accounts for 30% of total and end sem for 50%, rest is attendance, projects, quizzes etc. You need to pass both endsem and mid sem to clear the semester.
Placement Experience
There are ample amount of opportunities provided you do a little bit of preparation and play smart. You will get many internship options but some specific prehand knowledge is required to crack those. If you do well, you may land a PPO too. There are 80-90 companies visiting. Average package for every branch except computers is around 5.5LPA. For computers it's endless.
College Events
Our college have many fests. It boasts of biggest annual techno cultural fest in western region, Sparsh. Also part from this many small departmental fests are there like AAtish, Kaizen for students so that they cam participate and improve their managerial and technical skills.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure is quite reasonable, around 6 lakhs. Plus needy people can get scholarship based on their annual income. Also merit scholarships and category scholarships are there. Railway students get special scholarships from railways.
Fees and Financial Aid
Opjems scholarship is available at svnit for top scorers in each branch by op jindal. You have to one of the toppers in your department and have to clear a test for the scholarship to get the money. Also need based scholarships are available at the college.
Campus Life
There are so many student chapters for taking part in extra curricular activities, be it dramatics, music, art, literature, autombile, robotics, refrigeration, chemistry, maths etc. You name it, we have it. You will never miss an opportunity because of the college not having it. For sports, we have tennis courts, basketball, badminton and volleyball court. Plus we have a high tech gym.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni association is a little weak as of right now, but students are trying to revive it to fullest. Our alumni meet regularly and give inputs for improvement. Also seniors are very helpful. Nobody would shoo you away for asking a help. Everyone here is wise enough to help you out.
Admission
You need to clear JEE main exam and get good scores in board exams also. After securing a good rank, student has to fill choices for counselling rounds. After each round some college will be provided according to the choice. Once you get a desired choice you pay the fees and verify the documents.
Faculty
Some faculty are exceptionally good like VKP sir but some are there just for earning money. Apart from this there are lot of hardworking TAs who would be willing to help you for your projects provided it is worth enough.
