Xaviers

Xaviers is my second home. The students ,the teachers , the staffs are all so helpful. It gives us so many opportunities to explore our hidden talents. It has taught me to be self dependent and has made me much more confident than before.

The course curriculum is very good and well planned according to the competitives for entrances of post graduation. Our entire course is divided into 6 semesters. There is a final exam in each semester which is known as endsem. In the first 3 semesters we have ancillary subjects along with hons papers. There is an exam called midsem in each semester taken after a month or more after the semester starts.

We have a placement cell in our college. A lot of companies come to hire students with good packages. Students from every stream can sit for the placement interviews and a lot of students take up jobs after graduation.

Each department has its own departmental fest. The college has its annual fest in the month of january known as Xavotsav There are several societies in the college like hindi literary society,bengali literary society,english literary society and many more who have their own fest like the very well known Xavullash organised by the bengali literary society. Christmas is very well celebrated in our college.the whole college is decorated with lights.

Feasible The monthly fees is Rs 2150. We need to pay our fees for three months at once. So that makes us pay the fees four times a year. A separate examination fee is charged by the college before each endsem.

I have heard that students with financial problems are considered for the fees payments if they show proper income documents like annual income certificate. However i never availed any such facility till date.

There are a lot of opportunities for sports in college. We have a sports department which organises the annual sports in the month of February. Various events take place in it. Even we have a departmental parade event. Cricket , football ,basketball are one of the common games. We have a separate games room where students can play carrom and table tennis.

The senior students are very helpful and friendly. Not only do they help us with college studies but also help us with how to prepare for post graduation entrances. They are very cooperative when it comes to departmental events and give a lot of chances to the juniors

We filled up admission forms and submitted the details of our class 12 marks. We had to fill up seperate forms for separate subjects. The college published a merit list on a specified date. The students whose name were there in the list were asked to report to the college with required documents on a specified date. As my name was on the list , I went to college on the specified day and got admitted.

The faculties of our college are without a doubt very good as well as very helpful. They clear all the doubts we approach them with. They give a lot of important not only to academics but also discipline.
