4

In mbbs we follow CBME curriculum introduced in 2019 .it gives more importance to competencies that should be achieved by every student in each year .the achievment are recorded in logbook for every subject which is to be submitted at the end of the course.the curriculum focuses mainly to produce a good indian medical graduate who should be able diagnose the disease and treat accordingly .it also gives importance to doctor patient relationship.

Internships Opportunities

4

We have attend mandatory internship for one year where we are provided with stipend of about 25000 rupees per month ,the work schedule is hectic.extensions are available if you could not complete it within specific period .

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facilities are very good here. Mess facilities are available. you can order food from outside. In-room 3 people Hostels are always clean Common bathrooms are available The washing machine, filter, fridge, wifi are provided You can also rent a room outside but it is expensive

Admission

I have applied to government medical college ,kozhikode, thrissur and alppuzha .in first allotment i got admission in alppuzha medical college .in second allotment i was upgraded to thrissur medical college .I could not get admission in kozhikode medical college beacuse the cut off was high . After 12 th you have to Neet entrance examination to attain admission in any medical colleges .if you have higher ranks you can get into government medical colleges where expenses are less rather than private medical colleges. Overall admission experiance is hassle free.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratios is good .in clinic you are divided into different units consisting 5 or 6 members. The faculties are very approachable . Difficulty of exams may vary every year .every subject has its own merits and demerits.

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a pretty hard one i must say but the feeling of putting on a white coat and looking after patients is surreal and that's the main essence of the job. The curriculum is very vast but each subject is important in its own way. The exams are all conducted in such a way that there's enough time for us to prepare .
