Remarks
SRM has strong rule system. There are almost nil events of ragging and the one's which come to notice are handled seriously. The women cell is also enforced which tackles with the harrasment cases. The fees is high when compared to the services and quality. The charges of book 15000 is levied upon the student which is non optional every year. 20000 for the Career development fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is rusty but yet it helps alot. The exam structure include three internal exams CT1,2,3 and university examination at sem end. The weightage of both internal and external are 50-50
Placement Experience
Yes, The college provides internship but most of the students are unable to get internships because of the demand supply gap. The stipend usually vary from 5000-25000 depending upon the opening in the companies.
College Events
There are a few fests that occur. The major is TEXUS of CSE Department which is a national level techfest takes places in the month of march. Another is the Aurganon by IT department which is organized in august-september. Also the small fests and technical symposium are organised by ECE department ELEXA , Symposium by Mechanical department.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite expensive when we look at the services and the quality of education. The fee structure varies from 1,65,000 to 3,50,000. Where the least fee is of IT students. The. CSE students have 1,95,000 along with Mech, Ece, EEE, Civil. The 3,60,000 is of the students who opt for management quota.
Fees and Financial Aid
The students who have above 90% in 12th and 10th are provided with 50% scholarship on tution fees. The loans are also available from the CITY UNION BANK which is partnered by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
Campus Life
The Labs are AC for CSE. The systems have Latest windows while 2 in 10 still work on windows 7. There are 2 basketball courts for the sports. No others sports facilty or area is available. Students usually use the basketball courts for all the sports.
Alumni/Alumna
They are helpful but due to the changing curriculum they are also not aware of the things we face. The curriculum are based on the year 2014 ,2015 ,2018. Each of the curriculum have difference in subjects and the marking schemes.
Admission
There is an entrance test called SRMJEE. The rank which we get in SRMJEE result in the counselling which occurs in slot. Each student need to attend the counselling in the mentioned slot only for admission.
Faculty
The faculty here at SRM have studied from ANNA UNIVERSITY and other affiliated to it. The knowledge about the subjech they handle are intermediate. They are not able to explain much about the subject because of the rigid schedule of the semester.
