Remarks
Well positive remark would be it is well maintained like campus is the best campus in india and negative remark would be they only promote studies and no extracurricular activities which leads to a boring lifestyle
Course Curriculum Overview
Course of civil requires and update still teaching the same old technique is not helpful career wise. As nowadays company expects us to be aware of the latest technology being used in the field. Exam structure: Nirma university believes in continuous evaluation. So exams are held 3 times in a semester and you are also expected to make various projects related to topic
Placement Experience
Placement have improved in non tech fields but placement in civil is there but the CTC by companies is around 3.5 lakh per annum which is very low. So students go for non technical jobs which do not require any technical knowledge. At the end your knowledge in the field is getting wasted.
College Events
Nirma university especially institute of technology do not promote any kind of events. Some Technical and non technical fest are held but they are not supported by college staff and students have to work hard to get permission and all the stuff required for fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Expensive. They have increased their fee to ?94000 (per semester) So, It would be around 2 lakh for 1 year and four year it would be around 7.5 lakh which is very expensive because nirma do not provide hostel for graduation students
Fees and Financial Aid
Well college provide scholarship to students how have excelled in exams Like top student of every branch can avail the scholarship and scholarship is also provide for students who have high ranks in merit list at the time of admission but to maintain that scholarship they have to maintain a score of 8 CGPA in all the semester and their attendance should always be more than 85%
Campus Life
Labs are very good you can do all kind of geeky stuff that you want Sports facility is also very good but they don’t promote sporting activity or you can say that you have to take a lot of permission before using that sports facility Extracurricular activities are there but only for students who are really interested in doing them they do not promote clubs
Hostel Facilities
No hostel facility is available for graduate students. So they have to manage on their own. A lot of PG are available outside the campus but they add the expense and are not very good. So most of the students end up renting a flat nearby which lead to time wasting in unnecessary field
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni students are helpful because the placed students are the one that help III cell or the placement cell to find companies that would like to take placements from nirma. Alumni help upcoming students by helping them to settle in their company is they placed
Admission
Admission process is quite simple you have to provide your mains registration number they will generate a merit list based on your rank in mains and then will call you for counselling based on your merit list to select from the available branches. Counselling is held at nirma university ahmedabad only
Faculty
Faculty of civil engineering can be divided in two groups.Group 1- Faculty that have erudite knowledge in the field and they are highly respected but they only teach you one subject in 8 semester because they are busy with masters student Group 2- Faculty that have knowledge that is not sufficient to teach and they don’t want to improve also it’s like they don’t want to improve their knowledge they are indolent kind of people.
