One of the best places to be in if you want to study engineering in Maharashtra and give wings to your career. If you plan to move abroad for further studies, KJSCE is undoubtably the best college in India after the IITs with alumni network present everywhere right from Harvard, Stanford to the MIT.
Course Curriculum Overview
Excellent, college follows semester pattern. Total 8 semeters span across 4 years. Theory, practical and viva exams are used for evaluation. College is known for its strict evaluation. Being autonomous college, exams are managed internally.
Placement Experience
K J Somaiya College of Engineering is one of the best engineering colleges in Maharashtra when it comes to placements. Almost 100% of the students are placed every year many of which are placed in top MNCs with dream offers. Internship opportunities are also provided
College Events
Symphony is the annual cultural event which is celebrated with much glitz and glamour with many celebrities being invited for the event. Abhiyantriki is the annual technical event boasts of multiple technical breakthroughs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is on the expensive side. Being a private college, fees are higher. However, the facilities provided justify the fees. Right from olympic sized running track to full fledged grass turf for football, it is justified.

Multiply scholarships are available in the college. Tata scholarship, Govt of Maharashtra scholership, etc. can be availed by the candidates. The college and alumni also provides scholarship to worthy students
Campus Life
Labs are top notch, one of the best in the country. The college leads in extracurricular activities and the students represent at infinite events at an international level! All sports facilities are available.
Hostel Facilities
No, being a localite I never had the need for it. There are two hostels one being polytechnic hostel which is subsidized and other is MBA hostel which is more expensive but facilities are provided accordingly as well
Alumni/Alumna
Most of the alumni are now based out of US, many of them are also alumni of Ivy League and are working at global top 10 firms across the world on topmost positions! Some great entrepreneurs also form the alumni base.
Admission
Through CAP rounds organised by AICTE. It is a centralized process managed by the department of technical education. There are some institute level seats which are also allocated purely on merit as well.
Faculty
Top notch, many foreign educated professors constitute the faculty. Hardly anyone is only a graduate, almost everyone is either a post graduate or persuing post graduation. Faculty is supportive to students.
