Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is quite complex and simple at the same time, The curriculum is framed quite meticulously by the members and it covers a major portion of finance and accounting. the curriculum contains some of the most unique and advanced topics and helps the student learn a better syllabus in college. exams are conducted by the end of each semester and two continuous assessments are held before it. The marks are consolidated to give us the final CGPA.

Internships Opportunities

5

We are required to do a compulsory internship during the course of the first year of college as it is part of the syllabus itself, the college does not exactly offer you a job but creates an opportunity for you to facilitate and branch out for work experience. We are expected to work for 30 days or more in our respective field during our summer break.

Placement Experience

4

The placement in my college is very nice, multiple MNCs and banks come to recruit the finishing interested students . Companies like Delloit, Cognizant, Infosys, Zoho, O2 health studios, Amazon, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Yes Bank, and RR Donnelley come to Women's Christian College to hire and recruit students. These companies offer a good salary package and give the students quite good pay and an amazing offer package as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

In semester 1 I paid 39775 and an additional 1000 as exam fees, for the second semester I paid 29171 plus exam fees and for the third semester I paid 43120 plus exams and for the current 4th semester I will be paying 37011 . the following two semesters will also have a similar fee structure.

Campus Life

5

The main inter-college event of Women's Christian Colleg is called "FESTEVE" We usually conduct it during the month of February and the inter-department cultural is called "MT.HOLYOKE FEST" Both these fests are amazing and fun-filled. We are also allowed to participate In other r college events and festivities with the permission of our head of the departments or dean. Apart from this each department of the college also has a separate cultural event in which all the others can register and participate There is also a large library in the college which gives us access to a large number of study material books as well as language, novel and comic books as well, it is well air-conditioned with plenty of seating. We also request you to complete 40 hours of physical education through the sports department of the college to earn credits within the first year of college, the games like badminton, carrom, throw ball etc are also available if u are interested they will train you in them. Numerous language clubs and clubs for singing and dancing is also available for the interested student .

Admission

I applied to Women's Christian College as it does not have a Co-education system and is an all-girls college, one other reason that I chose WCC is that it has quite a good reputation in Chennai and Tamilnadu. This college also has good placement opportunities and the course I wanted was only available in this college. The admission process was quite smooth and the selection process did not take a long time as well, quick responses and processes were finished . the eligibility for my course usually requires mathematics in 11th and 12 but in my college, even computer applications and English students can apply if the core aggregate is high. The overall admission process was quite smooth and hassle free if you have all the required documents set and ready for the process.

Faculty

5

The faculty is quite approachable, maintains a healthy student-professor relationship, creates a healthy, safe place for learning, and is highly qualified. We have six semesters to complete over three years. Every semester, we are expected to write a minimum of three core subjects, one nonmajor elective, and one deleted elective. In the final year, all four papers will be core subjects only. We are also expected to complete 40 hours in physical education and 50 hours for any extension activity. Our faculty also uses various teaching methods, by conducting frequent quizzes, tests and seminars, They also conduct workshops and conferences so we adapt quickly and learn something. unique assignments are also given to irk our interest in the subject so we may research and figure things out.

Night Life

4

The campus timings are from 8 AM to 7 PM, and the campus also includes a hygienic gym and numerous cafeterias to unwind during breaks, a large air-conditioned library as well Is provided for the students and the faculty. The hostilities are not allowed to exit the gates during weekdays and are expected to come back before the curfew of 5 PM on Sundays alone .As the college is located in the heart of the city numerous hangout places ar there

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect will be accounting that made me choose this couse. The curriculum made me to prepare for future accounting field works and knowledge around the field. The improvements that I suggest may is to add more relevent real life job experience in subject books itself. As per me who is one of a topper student in my college, The difficulty is moderate to me and timing of exams are more enough to fill all the questions.

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.
