Remarks
The positives are very good like the campus academics extracurriculars and the alumni network. The labs are very well functional and the faculties are very thoughtful of students. The mess food is decent enough and the rooms are very well maintained.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very flexible where you can choose your subjects, slots, and facilities are known as Fully Flexible Credit System, FFCS. The exams are Intern 1 and 2 and a Final Assessment Test. Internal 1 and 2 constitute 15% each of the total marks. 15% Marks are for quizzes which are conducted during class hours while 5% is for assignment. Rest 50% is constituted by FAT. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
Placement Experience
The placements are decent enough considering a private college the average package ranges up to 6-8 LPA while the highest goes to 40+lpa. There are high chances to get 12+ LPA if you are in the top 15% of students. No, the college doesn't provide Internship
College Events
The College has two big fests, the technical fest called Gravitas held for 3 days. All kinds of workshops and seminars are conducted usually in September. The cultural and sports fest, Riviera, conducted in January has all the fun events and concerts for all 4 days.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees depend on the category. Overall the academic fees are not very expensive. While the hostel fees depend on the type of mess you chose and the type of room. The hostel fees are expensive for 1 bedded single AC Room.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides scholarships to top rankers of VITEEE as well as to the underprivileged. There is a fund system as well, where you can denote, the college uses those funds to sponsor someone's education.
Campus Life
Very good. There are numerous clubs and chapters you can be part of. One can join NGOs as well. The labs are well furnished with AC, Equipment, and Computers. There is an indoor and outdoor stadium, swimming pool and gym as well.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, alumni are always to help, there is a wide connection of alumni and various meets are held on every occasion. Alumni help in finding jobs and higher studies opportunities as well. The network is very well connected over Facebook and LinkedIn.
Admission
They hold their own entrance Exam called VITEEE. It is an MCQ based paper on PCM/B, biology for Biotechnology Engineering. No negative marking in VITEEE. Followed by the exam, there is offline counseling for its 4 campuses at Vellore.
Faculty
Faculties are very good with good experience in teaching. Most of the faculties are Ph.D. Holders and have a deep knowledge of the faculties encourage students for taking up innovative ideas and pursuing higher studies as well.
