My opinion about my college BIT SINDRI

The course curriculum in our college campus are quite good. As I pursue the Mechanical engineering because I am interested in automobile sector,also I am fascinated by the working of engines .Also I want that branch in which there is more ground work. This course helps me to enhance my practical and on ground Skills. The area that the course curriculum needs to improve is first that they have to brings more new machines and give them real knowledge by operating the machines so that students get to know about how the machines work. The frequency and timing of exams are quite regular due to which students are in intact with the course curriculum.

Internship opportunities in our college is quite good. There are various companies that provide internship. Also there is internship program in our college during 4th semester. Various companies provide internship opportunities like NX SIEMENS,TATA STEEL etc. During internship program you get various projects and tasks to complete and after that a completion certificate is given to you . The outcomes of these internship programs are very effective.

The students in our college becomes eligible after 6th semester and after that campus placement starts in our college. There are various companies that visited in our college are TATA STEEL,JSW,JSL, VEDANTA,TCS,TATA MOTORS, SAMSUNG, YAMAHA etc. Out of 1200, 971 students got placed in decent companies. The highest package in our college campus is 13.75 lakhs by TATA STEEL and the average package of our college is 6 to 7 lakhs. The percentage of placed students is above 92. After getting the degree I go to work in automobile companies and get exposure of how automobile industry works.

The college fee is 7600 and course fee is 7732. The hostel fee of our college 9000,and the electricity and maintenance fee is 2500. Yes there are various scholarships program for the college students for their financial support. In our college NX Siemens provide scholarships to many students also they provide internship opportunities to the students to develop their skills. The fee structure is not increasing from a very long time in our college

The campus life in BIT SINDRI are quite good. The social life in college campus are quite good the juniors seniors bonding are quite good in our college campus, seniors are very friendly and helpful. The technical festival that is TECH FEST is organised in the month of May. There is a huge library in our college campus in which lakhs a of books are there for students to help them in their academics.They are easily accessible for the college students. There is annual sports event name SPARDHA held every year in our college to encourage students to stay fit and increase competitiveness among athletes. There are more than 20 clubs in our college on various aspects like for technical SAE ,ISTE,IETE,MODEL,for social welfare NSS and ROTARACT CLUB and for improving communication skills LEO CLUB and QUALITY CLUB.

The college provides good hostel facility. In a room the college provides one bed ,one table and chair,one Switch board and one fan for students. The menu list of our hostel is quite good variety of foods are provided to the hostlers on different days. The quality of meal is quite average but not that much bad. After seat allotment you have to go to the college and opt for hostel. The hostel fee is quite low 9000 hostel annual fee and 2500 for electricity and maintenance fee. You have to go to kandra for rented room.

The first criteria that pulls me to choose this college is its affordablilty,and it's placement which is quite good.I applied for many colleges according to my result like Punjab engineering college,Haldia Institute of Technology,NIT Jamshedpur etc. I get confirm admission from Haldia and got rejected from PEC Chandigarh and NIT Jamshedpur.It is so because I don't have that much percentile that the college asks for. The admission process in our college is very simple after clearing the exams you have to go through the JCECEB councelling. The minimum percentile required by our students is 89 percentile for general category and for SC/ST it can go upto 40 to 50 percentile.

The faculty to students ratio in our college is 1:8. The faculties in our college are very friendly and helpful and they always stand to solve our problem. The faculty that I like the most is Somanto sir who teaches us Communication Skills subject.He is very friendly with the students and also encourages them for their career. The faculty that I don't like is SKC sir for their unnecessary strictness towards students. There are two mid semester exams and one end semester exam in a semester. The level of exams are quite good and majority of the students are able to clear the exam but few of them due certain unavoidable circumstances are not able to clear the exam.

The nightlife in our college campus is quite good. There in one gym in club ground for 3rd year ,Final year and sports club students. There is a huge library in the college campus which is open for college students. For 1st year students public areas are opened upto 6pm.But for 2nd,3rd and final year students it is open to all time. The famous hangout places in our college is CAFETERIA and NESCAFE. And for outside it is KUTUMB RESTAURANT.
