Glimpses of life in Amrita Universities

The core course is ia alloted are more relavant and similar with all the colleges and new course with AI in CSE and Medical engineering is also provided here in relevance with emerging technology. The project helps us to develop new skills. The online exams here are conducted through EVALIFY platform which is developed by the seniors of this department.

The intership opurtunities starts coming from end of the second semester. The projects were given to us starting from the first year itself which gives the exposure on how to handle the task given. Many companies such as Infosys and Microsoft too offer internship here

The placement in Amrita University is more than 90% for the students of MBA with the package of 8 lakhs. And engineering students package is nearly 10 lakhs and the highest package is close to 60 lakhs and for ECE students it is nearly 30 laks

In Coimbatore campus, yearwise payment for tution fees is according to slab allotted to them through JEE and AEEE exams. For Slab 1 the fee structure is 1.5laksh, Slab 2 it is 2.5 lakhs, Slab 3 it is 3.5 lakhs per annum. Hostel fees along with mess fees is 1 lakh per annum. Those who maintain CGPA above 8 will be in slab 1 and above 7.5 will be in slab 2 less than that CGPA will be in slab 3. If a student who is currently in slab 1 fails to get CGPA 8 then the student will move to slab 2 .

Every year Amrita coducts many events like Tech fest to exhibit the projects done by the students of the campus which also allows the participation of students from other colleges. It also organizes many religious programs. Frequently they conduct many Hackathons and workshops providing new opurtunities for the students.

The hostel facility os ovwrall good with wifi available in respective rooms, which offers additional credentials to access all educational resources availabe and for accessing research papers. In each room separate cupboard chare and study table is provided for each students. The hostel registration process is done at the time of admission after which the admission is confirmed

I chose this college for the ambience and the for the level of importance they give to the cultural aspects. Then It was near my house. The placements opurtunites is more when compare to the other colleges nearby.

The faculty and student relationship is overall smooth and friendly. They encourage students to overcome their fear and in developing new skills. The faculty members of B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science are very knowledged and skillful. The evaluation pattern here is 50%based on projects and 50% through daily basis evaluation

We can use the resources from library till 8:30pm in night. In library we have digital library and we have access to use many resource websites like IEEE and other which is free to access for the students over here. We have 3 main canteens and small caffeteria is available in respective hostels too. The railway stattion is nearby so we are abled to use it for easy transport.
