- Studnets still have discrimination as not just in terms of caste or the vehicles they come from but even the skin colour, these petty things should be addressed by the management.
Course Curriculum Overview
CSDS is a branch that not many would have heard off as this combination. Our course is fantastic and there's no tapering at least in the three semesters that I have studied so far here. Studies are tough but not a migraine for sure.
Placement Experience
Number of companies is impossible to count as Enact which has developed placements cell has ensured that students life of OIST is enriched with placements. So, 80 to 85% students are placed almost every single year.
Fees and Financial Aid
OIST has many branches including Bhopal. Our Bhopal branch has a standard and a reasonable fees of 63500 which we have to pay half every semester. The fees has to be paid at the beginning of the semester or else we are not allowed to enter the classes. Event he students who are eligible for scholarship has to pay fees in the first place and their scholarship amount is reversed into their accounts later.
Campus Life
We have many events and activities all year and every month. From next month convocation will start and then some other and the final fest is also in March. Rubic circle is arguably the best place of the campus as it has many sporting activities and students don't face any discrimination or senior junior things as all are welcomed there with arms open.
Hostel Facilities
Girls hostels are in campus and just 50-100 metres from the academic block. We have an in-time of 8pm but campusnis ours as we can use campus for as long as we want. Just outside our hostel block there's a vollyball court and mess is also next door.
Admission
One has to go the online way as all cut-offs and calculations by the college is done that way. A minimum of 65% in 12th and entrance score combination combines to derive the cut-off figure. Whoever is eligible are sent an email and are also given a call by the cousnellers.
Faculty
The best part about our faculties is that no one here is unsure and in a semester which supposedly should last long that RGPV norms are they teach us with a strike rate of 200. By that strike rate i mean that our syllabus is over in just 2 months and for the next two tests, doubts, revision and all happens.
Night Life
Gyms to cafes to bus stands tk markets to lakes to other public transport our college area has them all in 2kms. We have a mall and therefore movies and food court with Dominos and other outlets are available there and that's the best hangout places for us.
