Course Curriculum Overview

2

As the world is developing too fast with the AI, I thought of opting the Computer Science Engineering with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning stream. The curriculum prepared by the JNTUK was so worst. The order of the subjects were so random and there isn't any good planning for it. Not only the staff but the students also realised that. Before deciding the curriculum its better to take the AI assistance and support to finalize as it is the supreme thing with almight bookish and theoretical knowledge in the academics. Very frequently we used to have exams. Semester is six months. Will have two mid term exams before sem. During first two months we'll have some writing or book filling with some matter kind assignments before each mid for each subject. Then we'll have mid exams, again assignments them another mid, then the sem exams. Its a cycle of hurry worry things. Most of the time we used to fill those books. Each subject 5 assignment. Each sem 6 subjects minimum. 2 mids for each sem. 5 assignments each subject. Total we need to write 60 assignments for every sem and seperate book for each subject. Simply they used to follow stupid school rules even in btech. No time to learn the subject.

Placement Experience

3

During 6th semester the students get eligibility to attend some of the company campus placements. Tech Mahindra, Snovasys, Concentrix visited but other companies were held online. Our TPO used to post announcements in our college department specific official WhatsApp groups about the companies but most of them didn't gave any offers. The highest is 6-7lpa and lowest is 1.8lpa. A maximum total of 100 students might got placed in campus. Doctor obviously can get a nurse job, thats how the college shows the count. Completely fake. Very few are getting placed. Not even 50% gets placement but they announce 100% for next batch admission and the cycle runs continuously. All the passouts are having shit in Hyderabad and Bangalore to learn courses for jobs. Even I'm pursuing full stack java course in Hyderabad right after finishing my 7th semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Through EAMCET councelling I've got admitted in that college. My rank is 25246. It was my first option in my list. I've chosen CSE(AIML) stream. The fees per year is ?47,700/- and I'm eligible for fee reimbursement. It was said that government credits the fee in student's mother's bank account in 4 installments and we need to pay it to the college. They didn't ask me to pay any caution, registration, admission, development or lab fees. It required me to pay examination fees for all the semesters seperately. Most of my friends are same category like me and Ididn't remember any of my other friends fees who have joined by paying money to the management instead of getting seat through councelling. I remembered that they are forced to pay the total year(both semesters) fee before the first semester exams. Those students faced so much burden to pay. I guess they paid for about 50000-55000 per year not exactly. College didn't provide any kind of scholarships or financial aids but girl students who have secured good marks in their intermediate and got shortlisted for Pratibha Award got 50000 per year. I knew very few got other scholarships just because they applied and there isn't any involvement of the college in their achievement. We are the first batch for the branch CSE(AIML) and so they brought it available at a lesser fee comparatively. One of the reason for that is it's a 3 tier college then but not it became autonomous but the surprise is they didn't do any development since our admission other that regular activities. Somehow managed to get it with some bribe to them I think so.

Campus Life

2

Campus environment is so good. Socially it is safe for girls mostly. No chance of things going wrong inside the campus. So students left with bus drivers and some staff with students in worst cases they happened. Clubs will be there in the year beginning as a formality and later no use. Worst infrastructure. For every fest the department conducts, it collects huge amount and says it is for rent of tents, chairs and all. With the money they collect every year, they can buy branded setup everytime. Keeping the midterm marks in their hands they collect the money. One who turns against them will face issue with marks. No one is allowed to raise voice at mistakes. No smart classroom. Old projectors, damaged projectors. Not atleast one dedicated projector for a section. No student accesible portal for his details other than the local portal which can be accessed only through the college computer.

Admission

I've also applied for RISE College ongole and BEC Bapatla. In my nearby location the St. Ann's College of Engineering and Technology is the only college that provided the branch CSE(AIML). That's the only reason I selected this. At my time the college accepts eamcet exam. I dont remember the cutoff. I got 25246 rank and got seat in CSE(AIML) Branch. I'm a boy, OC category.

Faculty

3

The faculty just like others tries to be good with the students but things will be different. Staff are not experienced and so blame students wrongly and then the bonding gets crashed. They inability to find the culprit they punish all the students, there it all starts. Faculty to students ratio is 1:60. To be frank I liked Dr. C S Rao sir as his only motive is to share his expertise and knowledge to the students. He expects so much from the Students and encourages alot. Next our HOD Dr. Hari Kishan sir, he used to be very friendly with us and his way of reaching was awesome. And another sir I liked is Dr. Subba Rao sir, he used to teach us Java programming language, he is very excellent in subject and even strict. No other faculty is good. I've mentioned only the staff who comes to teach us and not through out the college. I didn't like Naveen sir, not he got doctorate but he is unworthy, don't know how to speak english, filled to travh english, he is the one of the memebers who wasted our time by giving nasty generalized google content for thr topics in our syllabus. We used to have two mid term exams for each semester, and majority of the staff used to leak the question paper in the name of important questions and day before exam with the exact questions. As the staff are not experienced, just came into teaching field allow student to copy. Can be either through seeing into others, slips sometimes even mobile phones. Even in the final semester exams sometimes we have self center, then students used to pay some bulk amount to the clerks and used to get details of their invitator or change the invigilator according to their comfort. Sometimes they even allow them to use mobile phones also. I even have some proofs also but better not to disclose them outside for the future of the students in that video.

Interview Experience

4

No interview will be taken for the admission. But it's good to have practice in GD so that in future they can attend them like a casual friends gathering. Lack of practice leads to some kind of inferiority complex issues to the students.

Night Life

4

We used to go the beach or meet in some playgrounds for a while once in a week. Used to have virtual sessions to discuss subjects and share knowledge and study combinedly. Sharing what we learn with others gave confidence in public speaking, teaching, and focus on topic and improved subject. Only available time in campus to meet others is lunch break and used to gather in college ground and share things with other students. Besides, everything outside the college. Actually we didn't roam out during nights then.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chose mechanical (robotics). As they euipped with new equipment's of robotics I have inspired a lot and chose to go with this course. This course helps to understand the mechanical engineering an also robotics. It helps us to understand about the mechanism in hardware. It helps to understand about robot infrastructure and about drones. For this course if there is more depth in robotics subjects than it can better. The frequency and timing is good as they maintain a certain period of time gap between the exams and the difficulty level is also good. If studied for a week we can understand up to some level and have a chance to pass the exams.
