The college provides great interest in the wellbeing and growth of the student in proper way. The aim of the college is to provide good individuals to the society. The infrastructure of the college needs an improvement.
Course Curriculum Overview
As SB college is a autonomous college, it has the right to form the syllabus for the curriculum. The teaching staff of each department forms the curriculum of the course. And it is of the semester structure. The exam is also on the basis of this semester structure. Each semester contains three exams with two internals and one semester exam at the end of the semester.
Placement Experience
The college provides a career orientation cell which provides career classes of excelent faculties and provides career updates. The college also provide add on course which is a subject other than the graduation and helps us to study them with our other subjects. Internship is not provided in the college.
College Events
Many events are celebrated in the college. The events starts from the fresher's day which is the function organized by seniors for the fresher's of the college. The other programs are union cultural program,Onam, Kerala piravi, Christmas, New year, Food festival, Women's day, College day and so on.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As the SB college is a aided college,the government gives salary for the teachers. And a small amount is charged at the beginning of the academic year and there is a small annual fee for college maintenance and each semester there is a exam fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides variety of scholarship programs. The first one is the scholarship for poor students with good merit. They have a consession for fees and are provided with study materials with free of cost. The PTA association also provides help for the needy students. Each year the toppers of the department are provided with scholarship too.
Campus Life
The college provides variety of extracarricullar activities ranging from NCC,NSS, Union, Nature club,HR department etc. The sports department of the college is also active. The college have basketball, Football, Cricket and Volleyball teams and they participate in various indoor and outdoor tournaments. The college also have sports hostel which provides practice for sport students.The college also have good lab facilities for the students.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni association and network of the college is well functional.The alumni association is existing in various parts of the world and the meeting are held annually in college and other places.The function is either department wise or as whole. The college have eminent aluminies ranging from great actors, Ministers,IAS,IPS officers.
Admission
SB college is a autonomous college. So the college management have the right to select the candidates according to the rules of MG University. It has its own admission procedure. At a fixed rate the college starts admission process and we want to register online in the college site. The process contains a fee and it should be either paid through online banking or by challan. After the admission time over college announces a particular date for trial allotment and it is the time for checking our details and the time for correction. Then they announces first, second and third allotments respectively. After the allotment the students who got admission have a interview with the principal and after that only admission is confirmed.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is best of my opinion. The admission for the faculty is also a proper one. The academic excellence and the interview is the criteria for the selection of the faculty. So in my opinion the faculty will be best.
