My college review

Compared to other colleges our college is a bit strict which includes the rules of arriving and leaving the college campus only at the fixed timings it's more like a school you could say. We have uniforms which is actually good as it won't be differentiating among the students.

I personally always wanted computer science stream so I'm liking the entire course as we are taught different subjects every semester and we get to learn more and more programming languages which is very much helpful in the current work space. Exam structure my college is based on VTU system which has different schemes for different semester which I personally don't appreciate.

Well compared to other colleges in mysore except for SJCE and NIE yes my college is very much good at providing us placements, in the recent time the placements have indeed increased and from this year they are providing us internship in our college itself but I have not attended it yet.

We have our annual fest once in an year in even semester and one individual department fest as well. The college fest includes of various activities which include technical , non technical, sports, dance, singing, etc. The department fest mostly consists of technical events for my department that would be coding, code debugging, gaming, blind coding etc. All these events even invites students from other colleges to take part.

As I have entered my college through KCET hence my fee is as fixed by the government. They charge us some extra money for the placement training with it. The students who get into the college through management also pay less when compared to any other colleges so most of the students prefer coming via management.

Currently I finished my three year so my college did provide us with certain ideas regarding where we could do our internship from and two of them are being conducted in our college itself. I preferred doing outside instead of doing in college as it would be better to study and experience with strangers rather than the same bunch of people.

Well you will get to see the extracurricular activities mostly during the college fest or if students are going to other college fest. Labs the equipments are fine and few of the computers in one or two labs are kinda old due to which it's hard to use them but certainly rest everything is great. Sports are always encouraged and interested students can take part in inter college events as well.

I did stay in hostel for about an year, the rooms are way too good to live. You have 3 sharing and 4 sharing rooms and a total of 3 blocks are present each are assigned to students based on the year they are in. Food is not so great as no where in hostel it would be that great. The hostel rules are a little bit too strict.

Once in awhile we will be given an opportunity to speak to our alumni, our college brings alumni so that they can share their experiences with us and can help us out in any possible way. Our seniors have been super helpful regarding projects , choosing the elective subjects they have always shared all the details and suggested us the right way.

I attended KCET and secured a rank around 11k which satisfied the eligibility in my college in computer science stream in first round of seat allotment itself. After I confirmed my allotmented seat I visited the college and took an admission by making all the payments.

Most of the faculty in my college are younger one's with less or no experience, which makes it difficult for us to adjust with them, and most of them use PPTs to teach I feel it would be better if they were doing it manually instead of PPTs.
