Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have minimal interest in computer science engineering and I'm more interested in hardware which is semiconductors side typically speaking vlsi and processors so i have choosen electronics and communication engineering rather than computer science. Our college curriculum is best as the average package is around 15 lakhs which is high when compared to many engineering colleges and even our college was established in 2017, so this is great. I would suggest to include some external workshops so we can use them in our resume. The quiz's and mid sem is easy and scoring when compared to end sem and syllabus will be less like 1 or 2 units only whereas end sem includes 4-5 units. 1st quiz will be conducted after 1 month of college starts and mid sem after 1 week of quiz 1 and quiz 2 generally changes but it will be conducted 1 or 2 week before end sem.

Internships Opportunities

4

This microsoft offered summer intership for three students of electronics and communication engineering students of 3rd year with a stifend of 1.25 lakhs per month, as i am in first year i don't have much idea about projects they have done.

Placement Experience

5

You're eligible for placements provided by college starts from 7th semester i.e ppo and intership, few students will select for intership and ppo in 5th semester with sunmer intership too. Microsoft ,angel one ,oracle and other companies offers placements for students. Highest package is 64 lpa and average package is 14.5 lpa. 63% students have got placed last year and this year it is still going.

Fees and Financial Aid

First sem i have paid 89k(77k tuition fees and 12k admission fee) and from 2nd sem i have to pay 77k for tuition fee, this 77k includes library fees, exam fees and for 8th sem we need to pay 79k(i.e. 77k tuition fee and 2k convocation fee). It is compulsory to pay for everyone as our college runs of ppp model but there is fees scholarship for sc and st category which covers their tuition fee and if you can avail any scholarship from nsp(national scholarship portal) you can college helps it to avail it(only if you ask them).

Campus Life

5

Saanjh(cultural) is generally conducted in october and fresher's party for 1st year will be generally in september as admissions will be done in august, and prakash memorial sports tournament will be held in November and every clib if the college organises a event in February. There will be books related to curriculum and there are not enough books and library is also small it can hold only 20-25 students. Almost every students joins club either cultural sports or technological like google and coding club's and it doesn't affect your studies unless you're involved too much in it.

Hostel Facilities

2

There will be a bed with mattress ,small cupboard , table and chair in the room and meal is average as expected in hostel's. Registration process will be done after taking admission in college and the bus will be generally late during morning time as it moves between two hostels.

Admission

I want to study in western part of india i.e. gujarat or maharashtra. So I've encountered all best colleges in these two states, offcourse iitb will be number 1 but i have just cleared advanced and not even scored good marks in it and in mains i got 40k rank so i couldn't get into circuital branch in nit nagpur and nit surat, so i have decided iiit nagpur , iiit surat and iiit pune. Unfortunately i couldn't get into iiit pune due to high cutoff and got seat in iiit surat in csab 2024. These college only accept jee mains score and no exams will be accepted for b.tech admissions, General cutoff of my college for cse is 35k and for ece is 47k in jee mains.

Faculty

5

Faculty to student ratio is quite good it's around 1 faculty for 40 students. Some faculties are quite interactive and some just come to class, explains the chapter and leaves ,they don't even try to interact with students. Few faculties are good they have in depth knowledge in their subject and explain quite well. Their will be 4 exams and practicals(not for every subject) in each semester. 1 end sem of 100 marks and few(2 credit sibjects) 60 marks , 1 mid of 30 marks and few(2 credit subjects) 20 marks , 2 quiz each of 10 marks and no quiz exam for less credit exams. The exams are moderate and they don't ask questions out of syllabus, so even if you start a week before exams you can score quite good marks. This college has absolute grading and it may take many years to change it to relative grading. More than 90-95% students clear the exam. The curriculum is one of the best as we don't have subjects lile engineering graphics , engineering chemistry and many unwanted subjects.

Night Life

4

There is no gym in college or hostel but there are gyms near hostel's and it is a new college with only two branches there is only canteen in college but there are multiple options near hostels where you can street food and accessble for every need which a student requires. Hostel entry will be closed at 9:30 pm but with permission you can take entry upto 11 pm ,if we want to stay a night outside the hostel or going anywhere then warden will talk to parents.

There is no major problem in the curriculum regarding to the course. The curriculum covers almost all major real-world applications. But, the there is so much detailed and compulsive study on techniques that are not even used in today's time.

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.
