The course curriculum here is designed on the basis of rules of NEP that is the national education policy. So the course curriculum hereis quite good . We are taught all the necessary things that are needed to become a good mechanical engineer and the labs hair also refine us in bringing the best engineer out of ourself although some of the labs are not quite workable they are not maintained but there are also new machines like the universal testing machine and others that are brought newly to this institution and help in cleaning more precise understanding about the subject. The mechanical engineering department in our college is one of the oldest and the most prestigious department of our college the first two departments of a college were electrical engineering and mechanical engineering the faculty as well as the alumini in this department are very good. Some areas of improvement can be improving the labs improving the faculties like the new faculties that are not much experienced and improving the classroom facilities. The frequency and timing of examinations are as follows : we have two mid semester examinations of 10 marks each and an end semester examination of 70 marks the timing of mid semester examination is about one and a half hour while for end semester examinations BA are given 3 hours for writing the exam.

There are not a lot of internship opportunities present in this college however the students apply for internships online like the Tata internship the Vedanta internship and others. These internship ideas are either given by the seniors order professors that you are in contact with.

The placement in this college are quite appreciable specially for the core branches like mechanical, electrical , metal this branches are offered around 100% placement with an average placement of 7 to 8 LPA . The tech branches hair lag behind in placement due to the areas specific of this college . This college is present in the outskirts of Dhanbad and so big tech companies are unable to reach this college still companies like TCS and Samsung higher technical students from the scholars like computer science electronics and communication information technology and electrical. The overall average package of this college is around 6 lpa which is quite appreciable with respect to the fees they taking. Many students here prepare for government examination like GATE, Cat , IES and other. The highest package of this college is around 50 lpa while lowest package here is around 3 to 4 lpa the companies that visit this college are Tata Steel ,Vedanta, TCS , JSW , JSL etc.

Being a government college the fee structure of the college is quite low for general categories the fee is 7500 per year while for SC ST and girls Kota the fees is 32 rupees that's also a student fund see which is around 7300 rupees per year for all the students present in the college. There is no increase in fees from many years. As per scholarship details the quality provide any specific scholarship to the students yet the students are availed with many scholarships like government scholarship and private scholarship for government scholarship the students have e Kalyan scholarship while for private scholarship the students have Siemens Reliance and many other . There is a organisation within bit which comprises of aluminis from North America also known as bitsanaa that provide aid to students who are not able to give their College fees or handle any other genuine expenses.

The campus life in the college is quite amazing the campus of BIT sindri comprises of 400 acres land . Some of the new infrastructures are recently being built while the old infrastructures are not maintained. Since the new intake of students there are new hostels that are being built which are very good while the old hostels are not well maintained and need maintenance. There are a total of 30 clubs and society in this college which includes technical societies cultural society and branch societies. The technical societies organise that annual tech fest . The sports club in this college organisers the annual sports meet with a lot of sports events like javelin , cycle race, sprinting etc . The cultural clubs organisea cultural events that are quite appreciable. The respective branch society organises many seminars webinars and tech talks of their respective branches. Due to this clubs and societies a lot of students get a good exposure in this college it helps them to communicate to other Studenta of the college increasing their soft skills. This also increases interaction with professors and seniors with help them in their career as well as academic opportunities.

The hostel facility includes accommodation rise of around 9500 per year which includes the hostel maintenance charge as well as the electricity charge. Every hostel is given a specific private mess in which the student get there daily needs the price of mess is around 3900 per month. The mess food quality is not up to the mark and needs improvement. The students are offered veg as well as non veg meals. Non-veg is offered around 5 days while veg remains all the seven days. For registration process in this hostel you need to be a student of BIT sindri . On the day of hostel shifting you need to be physically present in the hostel and book a room which is of your choice. The rooms are taken by first come first serve basis. The hostels here are quite good and spacious while some hostels are very compact. The old hostels need maintenance some of the buildings a very old and I have a water seepage problem. The hostels are not maintain properly and neither clean properly the students need to clean their rooms on their own the bathrooms are not cleaned everyday.

When I gave my joint entrance examination I got a percentile score of 93 at this percentile I was not getting a good college and a good branch like NITs or iits but I was getting this college. My home city is Dhanbad and so this college is not far from my home which give me an advantage over here also the fees hair is very minimum so it would barely cost me around 60000 to complete my bachelor degree course of 4 years college was one of my good decision. Also I was giving counselling of other colleges in Bangalore but they were two costly and not worth it this college offers a good placement while taking very less fees . For admission in this college you need to get a percentile above 85 then you need to go through the jceceb counselling in that counselling you will be given all the colleges that are under Jharkhand University of technology you need to choose BIT sindri and the branch priorities that you want according to your rank. Once you are selected for the branch you need to physically appear in the college for registration process.

I am from the mechanical engineering branch in this college and as per the faculty of mechanical engineering branch the professors are quite good . The teaching here are quite moderate . Some of the professors are very approachable they are eager to help the students while the others are not very cooperative. According to me the mechanics teacher which I will met in first year was very approachable and eager to help in our academic as well as career related opportunities. The old faculty here are very good and knowledgeable. As per academy of 10 marks each and the average is taken a both a mid semester examination for the internal the rest Den marks for internal are given by the teacher on the basis of your project work your assignment and your attendance. The semester examination is held twice per year the end semester examinations are of 70 marks for each paper. There are also extra 50 marks for all the subjects that have labs.

The college has a private gym cafeteria library and small park like area in with the students normally hang out. Outside the campus there are two small towns known as kandra and saharpura which are not quite good place to visit or hangout still there acquired restaurants nearby in which the students normally hang out. The gym is recently opened in this college. The library in this college is very well built and comprises of around 55000 books. It is a two floor building with sections for each branch. The cafeteria is also a very nice place to hang out it contains a lot of eatables and cuisines for everyone. The main gate is also another spot to hangout for students. The hostel for girl closes by 8:00 p.m. while for boys it closes at 11:00 p.m. The nearby locality is not a good place to hangout specially for girls in night because not a city rather it is a small town with villages
