Remarks
Our college offers all facilities. There are a number of canteens with different types of food and different price ranges. There are centres for photocopying notes as well for printing and a stationery shops as well.
Course Curriculum Overview
Jadavapur University has one of the best courses in the city. Also, the exams are scoring. The professors in the Department are the best in the country. Usually in B. A. Honours, one has to give two internal examinations of each paper of the core papers and a final semester exam.
Placement Experience
There is sufficient opportunity for placements and jobs in the Engineering Branch. There isn't any scheme for interships at least in my department.
College Events
There are a number of events organized by the various clubs and societies of our college. There is the famous Sanskriti which is very renowned in the city and all of Eastern India. There are a number of other events that are organized as well like Indak, Ibtida and a lot of other events that keep coming up from time to time
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since it is a government college the fee structure is very feasible. Also, there are options to apply for scholarships which will be granted after looking at one's economic background.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college does consider giving scholarships based on a student's economic background and on the basis of his/her academic achievements. Also, there are schemes like Kanyashri by the state government that the student can avail.
Campus Life
There are laboratories present for the science and engineering students and there are multiple playgrounds present where the students can play or practise. There are also provisions for playing indoor games like table tennis, carrom etc.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students are extremely helpful. We have a culture of helping our juniors with whatever they need and advising them whenever they need it. The various events we put up become a means for us to bond with our juniors/seniors.
Admission
Admission is on the basis of one's +2 marks and an admission test. But specific criteria varies across courses. It is usually that 50% of +2 marks and 50% of the entrance marks are added and the merit list is prepared.
Faculty
The faculty is very experienced and dedicated to the success of the students. The professors are some of the best in the country which is why Jadavapur University is renowned not only in the country, but also in the world.
